Lot of positives in that first half, McGeady is going to have a big impact in this game, he has the beating of Zambrotta. St Leger looks very nervous. Doyle hasnt done had a look in yet but is getting through a lot of work. Best or Folan might give the Italian defence a little bit more to think about. It wouldnt suprise me now tough if the 2nd 445 were played a friendly intensity.


He needs to start playing the ball into the box sooner, he's giving the Italians way too much time to get their defence organised.

Ref is atrotious so far, everytime an italian player goes over he is giving a free, its a contact sport FFS

Is anyone else slightly unnerved by the fact that the ref is Norwegian given it's in Norway's interest for us to lose this match?

Don't know how Lagrottaglie escaped without a yellow for that hack on Doyle just as he was about to race into the clear down the right.

The first 20 mins was the best Ireland have played under Trap, very good display. Looked nervous after italy equalised.

Yeah never really saw enough of the ball unfortunetly, I think both managers will take the draw now. Italy through and us to the play-offs.
