Oh yes because the megastar celebs we have in Limerick will really draw in the crowds.
Who will come to jackman to see any of the people mentioned play? They will have as much interest in them as in our squad.
Great the way we managed to annoy the players though and its the lads themselves that told me they are not happy about it.

the lads themselves will realise that this happens all the time with fundraising games like this one, look at all the games down the years, all had guest players and some nothing even from the city, im sure pat scully will have no prob with not playing any player that might get injured on the night,
And isnt there ex-limerick players playing too?

The format will be 14 present day players used (7 each half) with four guests on the limerick team at any one time. this will be made up of 3 sets of 4 (half hour each) Al Finnucane and Ray O'Halloran will be picking the guests. there should also be a full turnout of the 1980s champions limerick team. still some tickets available so buy early

I think it will be a great day for players and supporters alike its not often such footballing legends visit limerick, i hope the turnout is good and the rain stays away.

yup, it should be a bit of craic. Hopefully, a few folk who turn up to see the legends will be interested in going to some Limerick home games next season.

given the ticket prices mentioned i would assume a crowd of at least 1200 needed to break even on this fund venture.with say at least 15 legends coming their fee per player covering everything would on estimate be what ,say 1500e each.heres hoping the tickets sell.

how come there are no Limerick/Liverpool scarves for sale at the home games for the last few weeks, any other club would have had them on sale for people who can't make the game on sunday.

I tried to buy 1 last night and was told thay are not for sale till sunday

why would Limerick fc now want to sell scarves or other items before sunday, can someone explain that to me

I think its stupid carry on,

I think its stupid carry on,

I suppose they want to make them available to people who actually turn up at the game? Why not get somebody else at the game to pick one up for you? The last thing the club wants is to be left with a bare handful of merchandise on game day itself.

so why dont they order enough merchendise , thats how a club makes money, they do need money dont they.

I bet they will be left with stock that they wont be able to shift.

ffc they didnt have this seasons kit for sale till a few months into the season!!!!

If they ordered more than what's approximately needed for Sunday so they could sell it at the other home league games and only one or two people bought them, then they might have been left with a load of stock that they wouldn't be able to shift as well. Don't see the problem with only selling them on Sunday for the people who are willing to attend that game. They can put any left over stock on sale next season or i'm sure anyone will be able to contact to club about buying any left over stock. It is supposed to be memorabilia for the match Sunday so its only right that this is when it should be available.

Bit early to be writing the View off yet surely?

Poor start could easily be put behind them seeing as Pike are stuck in 2nd gear at the mo. But Boro and Regional seem to have stolen a march on the 'star studded' view team.

Interestingly theres no view players on the Oscar Traynor team again this year.

Lots of rumours. theorys and bull$hit going round as for the reasons why. Id offer my opinion on the subject but I wouldnt drag myself down to the level of the sort of people who come on here sometimes spreading crap without knowing the full facts.
