Abbeyvale might confirm but I think there was an incident against Star last year in the MJC. They were getting hockeyed and the match had to be abandoned. Just remember reading it on here.

Southend is quite possibly a misprint - i'm guessing that should be Summerville B vs Shannon. As Southend obviously shouldn't be in the draw and Summerville B should be..

Can anyone confirm??

Not all clubs enter their B team. I think most in TSDL are not entered

1. Southend were kicked out of the MJC last season and were banned from entering it for 2 years afaik.

2. Summerville "B" surely have a team entered in this season's MJC (considering how well they done last season, when they knocked out Kilmallock, and that was when they were in Div 2A, and are now in 1B).

Hi..the B team were meant to be in the draw but the Secretary had forgot to put our name in by accident....We have done all we can to get back in the competition so unless someone pulls out we wont be in it this year...Shambles really when u think how well we did last year...

whole prelimanary round draw a bit of a diaster for mjc... southend not in competition.. would be very intresting to see if any clubs knocked out tomorrow try and get draw declared void :mad:
as you said would have just been easier to put summerville b in instead . but again how does your club secetary forget to enter 1 of the club teams :D

Balla had a lucky escape in the end. View missed a pen last kick of the game to be fair it was a great save by the keeper. What was the balla player thinking when he picked up the ball in the box to give away the pen. Balla started bright and missed 3 sitters before the view took the lead with a well taken goal by Jason Lipper. This upset em a bit and the view had the tails up putting the balla defence under pressure with their pace up front.
Then 10 mins before half time balla equalised spud with a deflected shot getting a bit of luck they deserved really , couple of mins later balla went ahead through a Daly header.
In the second half Dunphy made it 3-1 with a good finish, Jason Lipper then got his second with 20 to go another great finish 3-2.
Balla not having it their own way. View pushed for the equaliser in doing so left gaps and dunphy went on to score again 4-2.
View never gave up and with a couple of mins to go made it 4-3 and it was a nervy last 3 or 4 mins for balla. Then with the last kick of the game 1 of the balla lads picked up the ball in the box with his hands the ref gave a pen and who knows if that pen had gone in could have been a shock on the cards.:)

carew can count themselves a little unlucky they were more than holding there owe against the view with the game still scoreless around the 75min the ref awarded the view a free kick just outside the box for nothing tommys free was deflected off the wall and wrong footed gordon in goals. carew had 3 or 4 decent half chances during the game. we knew its going to be tough against a quality side we just wanted to put in a good performance we did that defended well looked good going forward.

also like to welcome back mike carey he came on with 15 left massive boost to carew having him back.
