fairview 2 carew park 0

carew can count themselves a little unlucky they were more than holding there owe against the view with the game still scoreless around the 75min the ref awarded the view a free kick just outside the box for nothing tommys free was deflected off the wall and wrong footed gordon in goals. carew had 3 or 4 decent half chances during the game. we knew its going to be tough against a quality side we just wanted to put in a good performance we did that defended well looked good going forward.

also like to welcome back mike carey he came on with 15 left massive boost to carew having him back.

thats great news great to see mike make a comeback huge boost for carew:ball:

Fair enough report i suppose although i do thin Fairview deserved to win.they had most of the possesion but they just dont seem to want to shoot.Grant got a good goal .Small right winger was good for carew park and also ger ned is still decent up front .colm heffernan good for Fairview.

Shannon Town have never had to resort to these sort of petty and disrespectful statements before. They are popular club, liked by most neutrals for that very reason. I suggest they remove this silly comment asap as it reflects poorly on them.:ball:

corbally edged the 1st half and the 2nd was all villa.... our keeper never made a save. we couldnt convert any of our clear cut chances in the 2nd half and that was the difference.

best of luck to corbally in the next round.

as far as i am aware all signposts & maps show name as shannon .. so in that case all other clubs with shannon in their names can claim to to truely represent shannon ... so one of the oldest clubs in shannon cannot claim full rights to represent the people / community of shannon :D we can all share in the greatness of shannon :D
