decent result for Basel last night voltreffer, fancy your chances of going through to the group stages?
Volltreffer
12/08/2004, 4:47 PM
It will be extremely hard, but who knows? We have a few new players who are not fully integrated yet. Let's see how much they can improve on that.
Basel should and could have beaten Inter yesterday, so why shouldn't it be possible two weeks later? In any case Basel will have to improve their away performance compared to two years ago, otherwise ...

Junior, of course I have some spare tickets again, but I don't think you will need them this time. Besides I'm keeping them for the time being. Once the game is sold out - which I hope will happen - I can maybe swap them for some Basel (Champions League?) ticket.
Talking about tickets: If anyone has some spare Faroes tickets and doesn't want to throw them away, you can send them to me. I'll sell them over the internet and donate the money to Médecins sans frontières. Just send me a private message for the address (Neil: ONLY for tickets ;)). I had no problem selling my 6 spare tickets, so I think I can get rid of a few more.
i know the fai said that applicants for this game would be informed if they are to be allocated tickets by the 16th but i was just wondering if anyone had heard from them yet?
Jesus lad's I did'nt know the Lisdoonvara matchmaking hooley had been moved to Basel this year.
V. Mine and Sylvo's Faroes tickets have been deposited with the German lady's courier service for whom Sylvo - for his sins - is in her service. :( I only hope that my own postie - the Charles Manson lookalike - has no hand in its journey otherwise Medicins will be without some much needed Francs. PM me when they arrive. :)

But still I'D like to thank her for letting us have my pick of 40 nice red van's for going shopping, driving the folk's around and for the odd job moving chair's and sofa's around, plus the use of her phone's for phoning mobile phone number's.
She ain't all that bad plus I get a day off for her birthday and fair play to her she has two birthday's :D :D

if they are behind with 4000 applicants, id hate to see how far behind they will be trying to handle 23,000 applications for the france game with 8000 tickets :D

Ticket update.
The F.A.I. have not received tickets yet from the Swiss FA but expect them any day now (due yesterday). Block Bookers will be accomodated but the general public will not get tickets.
The Swiss U21 game is in Berne with a 7.30pm local time kickoff. Plenty of trains from Basle.
No update on France yet apart from the obvious - being way oversubscribed and have asked for more tickets.
