Could be more tricky than expected. Kildare have signed pretty much a new XI by all accounts, and lost by only one goal to Longford (when down to ten men) and Feckall. Davy Byrne's suspended for them, however, which is a boost. One of their more experienced new signings.

Can someone do me text updates? I'm in London for the weekend.

Nah, UK First Aid Championships in Croydon.

Followed by lots of drink. :)

Seeing as pineapple is not going I will drive and give lifts if needs be.

There's no need; the train's very handy.

(And I know you just want to show off your driving skills :p)

Are they mad? And spelt with a z?

I'm unlikely to be going to Kildare, so I ask purely out of curiosity.

You wanna see him. Wrong way around roundabouts, shooting red lights...oh, wait... :p

As much as nearly dying on a roundabout in Spain just isn't worth it, it still greatly pleases me to have given you a taste of your own medicine. :)

Until you're actually in the car with me when I crash or do something that stupid, you can't comment. :)

I recall an incident on the Sheep's Head Peninsula where you and the other idiot doing 45 on a winding, gravel-strewn lane stopped with roughly an inch between your bumpers.

You lie.

The idiot was doing 25. That's why he was an idiot. ;

That was a different near accident. This one was on-coming.

That was the one with roughly an inch between our mirrors. Plenty of room, an inch. And I don't think I stopped either. I just slowed and braked right up into the hedge on the left. :p

It's not handy getting to Heuston and then having to wait half an hour after the game.;)

Yeah, but not drinking's also not handy, I find.

You stopped. So did he. Your the edges of your bumpers were facing.

Not a great performance, but the win we needed, it seems?

I see Kildare had a Liam Tiernan playing for them - is that the same lad who played for our U-21s? Think he made a League Cup appearance or two too.

We played reasonably well. Kildare were just better than expected.

Is that taking my first post in this thread into account or not?

Edit - also, is that our Darren O'Brien Mark II in the Kildare team?

Yes. Narrowly losing to Longford doesn't scare me.

I don't know.

Well, they also lost narrowly to Fingal.

Who lost to Harps, which makes me feel better about only drawing with them.

Somewhat blurry highlights (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzqIJhtQ0tk) from Kildare County TV, although I see some have spotted it already.
