look caherdavins pitch lately as it's got harder and harder it has become a nighmare to play on and certainly hasn't helped them.

Didn't help us either (Caherdavin B), we lost 4 out of our 5 losses this season at home. Awful pitch. Goes from very soggy in the Winter to rock hard near the Summer, no in between.

Fair play to Balla B they pulled their socks up the last few games and even though Star are promoted, im sure they would of really wanted a cup to show for at the end.

Fair play to both teams for an entertaining game where either side could have won it. But especially to Balla for putting in a performance when the didn't really have anything to play for.

This is a season of objections, it must be the worse season for amateur soocer in years when it should be one of the best considering how the Limerick teams did/ and are still doing in the FAI and MJC.

It's junior soccer not the premiership.What about if a referee doesnt give a penalty,does give a penalty.allows a goal that was offside stand.You cant appeal these decisions.You get on with it.

Have heard now there is a rumbling of something happening...we are not going to be getting the cup on Sunday...but ya if he was suspended against us aswell and played then of course we'll put
in an appeal/objection/ or whatever is protocal... Between this and the whole pike situation in the FAI the soccer in Limerick has gone ars*ways...why can't a sending off for two yellow mean you miss your next game regardless straight red you miss your next game and then after the refs report further action can be decided....

It's just so frustrating to have been crowned champions and now this...we were offered the cup last night at shelbourne park but because we weren't all there we decided to wait till Sunday.

Sending off is an automatic one match ban and when they get the refs report two yellows is another one added on.
A straight red is a three match ban and im sorry to tell you this shannon man but its too late for ye to object as the time frame has passed for any objection.

Balla played Granville last Thursday evening 29th April, which was there last game played before they played Star, so if he was sent off v Granville he would have been illegal v Star as you automatically miss the next game after being sent off, maybe thats what the objection is about, but like I said I haven't heard anything about it from our club, so as it stands congrats to Shannon.

cant wait to see what way the LDMC deal with this mess, will balla have any punishment from this. I mean its not like they didnt know he was sent off therefore illegal to play against star. there can be no winner from this its not the right way to win the league or lose it. both teams shannon and star will in some way feel robbed after putting in a great effort to win the league for the last 8 months.

Got some info on this...The player WAS sent off against Granville but it was the cup game which was played 3 weeks ago. Since then Balla have played Shannon, Granville and Star in the league. The player did NOT play against Shannon as Balla thought this was his 1 game automatic suspension. They didnt get any letter from LDMC to say he was suspended for anymore games so he played against Granville and then Star in the league..


This could turn out bad for Balla cos if they lose all those points they could get relegated

Lads to be honest, I dont care what happens, as long as we got promoted, the medals are dust collectors and the trophy is an excuse for a **** up, so its all the one really.............it would have been a different story if we needed the 3pts to win promotion, but lets be honest about, when we are playing Prem next season nobody remembers who came up as champions or runners up from 1A.

We have become fairly well aquainted Alan and I think we are pretty honest when we come to what we say on here you have to see our point of view and how frustrating it has become as I said if ye have a case fair enough but if not someone needs to have a look at themselves.

Charleville B are much stronger than their A team from what ive seen. Can see a lot of the B team moving up to A next season.

Agree promotion is the aim for any competitive team and the prize of going to prem is a good one but when you look back on your football its gotta be nice to say i won something because winning medals in the prem is no easy task when you dont have the resources of the top teams, Most teams that go prem struggle within a year or two and slip back down to 1A or worse look at abbey those guys will still be looking at 1A winners medals but the club is in freefall....

If balla played an illegal player then Star are right to appeal the decision but if the appeal is incorrect and the player served his ban already then at least it shows that people give a sh#t
