will you be saying that to players on your bench...?
I bet you had no problem when d finnan did this back in your hey day...

every player wants to better themselves and given an oppertunity to play for the best team in limerick, surely it is worth a try......

What team doesnt want the pick of player in all fairness.
Im not against them giving it a shot in the teams...but its every year, same players, different team.
Im just saying from a players perspective...is it not better to be playing, than moaning when they make the move and dont start. No point blaiming the clubs for this...

Both struggled too get into the side last year but at the same time they would be a loss both are good players to come off the bench and every club need a good panel to win id be suprised if darren went.
have wembley any new signings or is it too early to say i know its all rumours but any def players going to them.

yea 24-25 players is a bit much and you will see transfers when players arent getting a game, but in fairness to pike they cant help it if players want to go them,i think there right sign as much as you can when you can,and dont come back saying its wrong, its this, its that, any club in town would do the same, any gripes just make you look very sour dosent it?............

agree with you fully daisycutter.cant exactly blame pike.they wont care if they have 8-9 unhappy squad players if they get 16 that will do the business for them in the big competitions.im sure all players signing will feel they are good enough to play every week but after all there are only 11 places.i personally cant see the likes of pat moloney, alan barry, mcgarry, enright or hartnett accepting being subs.also there is alot of talk on this site about pike getting the chequebook out.if its true im sure whoever is signing the cheques wont be happy to see the recipients on the line.i think there are lads up in pike who will start the season and be nothing but squad players as the season goes on.il be interested to see if there anyone looking to leave afew weeks in.

There isnt a team in town has 20 players signed and i would be suprised if there is a club in town that pay players when barry flynn signed for us the town said he was getting paid when kevin mccarthy signed for the boro people said he was getting paid but the fact was flynn signed for us because we were the best in town.

Regional will be just fine , few players have moved on but we have quality coming in, just not singing it around town like some people. Gary nevilles decision to go to Pike will prove to be a bad one. Smackers is a far superior goalkeeper at present , can't see Gary getting many games but heh if his ambition is to sit on the bench then let him off. Sure himself and Franky can keep eachother company:)

never sub with Pike chief so i can assume you don't watch junior football, and Im not slagging them off just stating the point that they are swapping regular starting spots for the bench up at pike is all. Won everything bar the FAI with Pike so i moved back to Regional who I played all my underage with , hardly a crime! So Pike were beaten in the league last year home AND away by an average team were they? Semi Final of the MJC and last 16 of the FAI , further than Pike if i remember correctly:)

Young neville going to pike is a bit strange alright, he won't get in ahead of smackers as he's the best in town in my opinion. Might have been better off getting some experience with regional where he would have been first choice, but time will tell. Pike will win the league this year but I'd fancy Fairview to push them even closer for it this year.

Smackers is hardly the best keeper in town. He's got a horrible slice that needs curing badly, he's very weak at crosses and poor overall communication. It's been the pikies biggest let down in recent years. The lack of a reliable keeper. From the 4-5 games I've seen Neville play he seems the right fix for Pike.

It seems Connies got the 3 signings he really wanted, a keeper, Left full and Striker. Could be a big year for the Pikies.

i agree with you blinkx.i never saw much in the pike keeper.any game ive seen him he has been average at best.young neville could be a longterm answer to pikes goalkeeping issue.i think he will push for first team start.imo there are at least 3 keepers in town better than smackers.

Absolutely disagree.

Name the better keepers? and don't give me this Glasheen crap? he's totally unproven and average. Smackers is by far the best in town. Neville is 17 has alot to prove yet.

Based on what exactly?

And Finucane signing with Fairview isn't much, looked very unconditioned when he made a cameo against Pike last week. Straining in all the wrong places..

Apparently Wembley had lost Shane Considine to Pike also...Should have just started a "So who haven't Pike signed" thread....

Gary Nevilles about 20 and he's a fine keeper.Glasheen is a good keeper too. There isn't much between them i think and if neville starts games he wont be letting pike down.

standard of goalkeepers in town is poor enough, there is hardly any competition at the top clubs for the no 1 jersey .gordon stewart is prob still the best around

Player Manager??? If so disaster...not a fan of that at all. Theres enough work to be done if your a player in the premier and theres enough work for a manager/coach. 'TYPICAL' Mungret! Hopefully for mungrets sake he'll bring a few more players into the fold though...

not league of ireland standard, ridiculous,he was arguably the best palyer on the limerick team that missed out on promotion 3 or 4 years back, before he went up to shamrock rovers,
