I'd be hopeful of a win in this. Would be nice to give ourselves a chance at a bit of silverware. Will take a concentrated effort and wouldn't be a huge shock if they turn us over. Possible starting eleven:
Brush
Keane
Peers
Ventre
Holmes
Cash
Boco
O Grady
Ryan
Parkhouse
Cretaro (if fit)

Morton Stadium is new territory for us but I will be there and hope we can muster up a few dozen fans on Monday night even allowing for horrible weather we are going through. Lets make sure the BOR know we are there. Need to get back to winning ways, Rovers are a fulltime team so we should last the pace over 90 minutes better than them.

We did indeed and a terrible stadium it is to watch a match what with the track and apart from the stand pretty desolate place to watch a match.

Neither Shams or especially Dublin city had much od a support hen playing there so not a plce for an atmosphere!!

this is going to be a very difficult game for us. if we stay fully focused on the task we can win it but it will take a huge effort as they have a big squod and some very good players. it would be great to win this game as suddenly we are in the semi finals of a major competition and can generate badly needed revenue for the club going forward. i expect all the players realise the importance of this game to our season. a win here would be a huge boost to the club. c'mon the bit 'o red !

Hopefully I'll make this one.

For anyone getting a bus who hasn't been to Morton before, I think it's the 41 or 16/16a that go through Santry. You'll pass the Omni shopping centre on your left, then go through a junction with a tyre garage on your right. You get off at the next stop, you're at the entrance to the ground there.

It's a terrible ground, alright. This will be a tight game, I reckon. The pressure is on us as the PD team. Fingal have nothing to lose. We can win this one, but 2 trips to Dublin in 4 days is a big ask for the lads.

we are 7/5 with paddypower and they are 8/5, the best bet looks a draw at 11/5 bring them back to the showgrounds and whip them jackeens. in all fairness they are a good side but stil 3rd in div 1. they are still gelling together so not playing at full speed yet. looks like weather will be rough so could go either way. out of 6 home 1st div ties there record is 4 wins, 1 daw, 1 defeat so home form is good. they did struggle to beat finn harps with only a 1-0 win so anything is possible. also they have only scored 5 goals at home so if we stay tight at the back and nick a goal we could be prosperous

This is a massive game for us. But as everyone else has said its going to be really tough. But we are definetly well capable of beating Fingal. Winning tomorrow night would be a great boost to everyone involved at the club, so good luck to the lads.:ball:

Definitely having some of that price tomoro..our starting 11 should be better than theirs tomoro nite and you have to remember we are playing at a far superior level to them which should hopefully see us through:D

This game is going to be tight enough, Fingal have decent quality. Hopefully we'll nick it and go on and get our hands on some silverware this season!

cant believe some of the negativity lads...were more than capable of heading up there getting the win and getting into the Semis..Fingal have been beaten by UCD at home,Drew with Limerick and had narrow wins against Athlone and FINN HARPS(1-0)..not exactly results that would strike fear in me anyway..Rovers to progress

Great result, but it seems our 2nd half performance wasn't great, lets hope this gives them confidence for next Saturday as Galway will be low on it going out 2-0 to UCD. When will the draw for the semi finals be ?

hope i wasn't the only "mad" enough to back us to be beat a 1st division team at 12/5. great to go through obviously but keeping a clean sheet is also a huge boost. 1st time we've kept a clean sheet and scored in a game this season

bit of a strange game. we were lucky to go in ahead at the break, second half we were the better team but they still had plenty of chances.

Holmes was fantastic for a lot of the game, Parkhouse was magnificent second half, he is improving. Brush MOTM though.

Raf had to go off injured. The goal was a great pull back from Parkhouse, Raf took a knock when scoring and didnt come back out.

Great result, we looked dodgy in the first half, created a few chances second half. Could have beaten them by 2 or 3, saying that though, Fingal could have done the same.

the club did'nt make any money on this game. i think the share is 60% home club and 40% away team less officials expenses. hopefully we will get a home draw in the semi's and a money spinner

Yeah its a pity the game wasnt in the Showgrounds, even if only 1000 turned up it would of been worth a few quid to us. But the most important thing is we went through. if we can get a home draw and it is marketed right we could pull a large crowd, every bit of extra money we can get might help us bring in a player or two in July.

Good to get the win. Performance in the 1st half was poor, midfield was non-existant and Fingal could easily have lead at half time. Played better in the 2nd half even though they had a couple of good chances. Some good saves from Brush (even if the peno was struck very close to him).

Parkhouse has improved in the last couple of games. Holding the ball up better and looking fitter. Should have scored at least 1 tonight though.

When is the draw for the next round?
