Why do Sligo play their home games on a saturday night?

Better crowds. More of a chance for away fans to travel too.

aparently the local church requested it. also having no bar on good friday was not a valid reason.

the first half was even enough. dont know why partridge was sent off. the linesman called it. didnt see what happen. as soon as bohs got one, you could see more coming.

hope fitzpatrick is ok.

apparently called said linesman a "f*cking c*nt!"

I doubt that when the floodlights were lit up in the Showgrounds. Nothing to do with away support it suits the Sligo public.

Oh ya, just added that as example. I meant it suits everyone when i said 'better crowds'.

Going back to the rovers game on rte...wasn't too impressed with george hamilton's repeated comment about it being boco's first goal for the club.He said it a couple of times after the goal and again at the end of the game when the camera zoomed in on boco, spouting it like it was fact! Don't think it gives a good impression of the league,it gives ammunition to those who like to run down our league. One comment i heard was "oh typical league of ireland,he's in his second season and its took him til now to score". George should do his research and make sure his facts are right before he starts saying things like that.

Drogs beat Bray 2-0 in the League Cup today.

Pretty terrible game from both sides. Drogs were a bit better in the second half.
