I'm just outside Belfast and have a UK digibox, the details for RTE are on the following, if you go to add channels in service and select the following details in order and then I think it's add you'll be able to pick them up, however they have channel numbers assigned through my box on 161 & 162

any bars in London?Loads.
I'll be watching it in The Corrib Rest in Queen's Park (Bakerloo Line).
I'm sure there'll be a few in Cricklewood & Kilburn.
I watched the rugby in Connolly's in Chiswick and they had RTE.
Claddagh Ring in Hendon is a big one.

Maybe clutching at straws here, but I reckon it may be live on BBC website?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/7972704.stm
Usually they put 'Live Text Commentary' when it's not a video broadcast?
Fingers crossed

Spotted it there myself now. I've checked through Scotland, Wales, England etc and it refers to 'live commentary' or 'five live radio coverage' etc etc. Saves me going to the pub if it's true :D
It's saying the same thing at this url address:

where do you live Colmcc? I don't have RTE on my sky box. Does anybody know if there is any way of tuning the frequency to pick it up?
Ya wouldn't mind a few of us turning up after training shaker? Could ya sky plus it too please? :D

I'm pretty sure you can only get RTE in Ireland, not Britain, unless it's changed recently.

Not at all. They have home productions for Ireland only and then they have worldwide streams. Mind I have often hit Ireland only and got coverage.
You can hide your IP to get coverage. Not sure how to do it. I wouldn't mind seeing it.
I might wander into one of the Irish pubs in Nottingham.

You hardly know anywhere else west apart from Chiswick?! I'm miles away from Queen's Park but it may nearly be worth the trek. We'll have to see how these cretinous crusties affect things tomorrow with the protests. Could be absolute mayhem and there'll be no way to see any matches...!

Cheers, yeah I found that one and emailed them and they said "yes" to my question, will they be showing it? Mind you, so did The Harp Bar also in Cologne....Hopefully they come good but I suspect a standard response was issued without them even considering what game I was on about!!!
fingers crossed anyway......

Fulham, so anywhere near there or Parsons Green or Putney would be perfect. Or Bethnal Green either, have mates who are trying to suss out anywhere around there too. Cheers.

good few places around bethnal will have it, the bohola house usually has them on. If its not on sky then brogans or any of those bars around fulham wont have it either. Kavannaghs should have it in parsons green as well. But just to double check give them a call.

The Hop Pole down near Wandsworth will have it for sure. Its run by an Irish guy so they tend to show the English and Irish games on 2 different screens. You can get a 220 from Putney Bridge which will drop you right outside. I'll be going down myself, so give me a PM if yu want to meet up.

I get RTE through sky but when football is on it goes off living in Antrim, is there a way round it that defo works? I usually switch to my RTE aerial but the winds have caused the picture to go s***e, the aerial guy is out at 3pm if there was a way round this through the sky box i could cancel the guy. Anyone, i'll buy you a cyber pint!!

In East London, Maguires in Ilford have RTE - this is near National Rail station (Zone 4). They show most games, but I cannot guarantee they will be showing it - might be worth giving them a ring (I won't be there this time as I'll still be at work)

Long shot - but anyone know if St Pat's in Leamington Spa are showing it? Just called them and was told "Eh? What? Yeah! Should be!" Not convincing...
Might be JustinTV tonight

Pre Game and First Half: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AZWTEFUJ
Half Time, Second Half And Post Game: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8X6OOKWM
Downloads are roughly the same size as the Georgia game (about 750MB each) so if you don't have broadband, don't bother.
