The 5 applicants are:

The job is made for Dave Rogers in my opinion but I would love to see Dave Hill build his own team again.

Yeah he's moving to Cork with his wife who is from Cork!

I'm surprised he hasn't been linked with the City job.

Its Martin not Mark.... He played l think with Cork Celtic and st marys 20 or so years ago
He set up a schoolboys soccer academy but got no support from schoolboys league or fai and after a year or later close down.
What is wrong with alan o sullivan he played with Queens. Park Rangers in the english 1st div the now named premier league for years so he would be the right person and did he not manage ur reserve team

If we're talking about tight budgets and controlling the finances,i reckon alan o sullivan would be well equipped having seen first hand last year what the club were run on,when he was running the reserve team,,when will the announcement be,anybody know..??

For what it's worth, I would like to see Dave Hill back in St. Colman's Park. I do believe we would have got promoted back then if he got better back room support.

He is a very professional guy and has high demands, but if we want to aim for topflight again, I do think he could be the guy to lift us up again.

This just my opinion. Nothing at all to do with focrs or anyone else. I was a great fan of Dave Hill.

Jamesd, have you jumped again, didnt you and the Focr's have young John O'Rourke lined up for manager before your failed coup on sunday?

Red this is the first I have ever heard of his name been mentioned by anyone. Again, and not wanting to repeat myself, I am not a member of Focrs, all I have done is expressed my view regarding a manager as this thread suggests and for what its worth, I hope we can bring Dave Hill and Phil Harrington back to the club.

Dear Barry Walsh,
If you ever wanted a reason to give hill the job, here ya go!!!:D
In all seriousness hill is the man for it, one of my favourite mangers in my time supporting rams he was fantastic!!! As jamesd said if he had a better board hed have got us promoted, funnily enough, the board at the time are prob half the people who make up the FOCRs

Bella, delighted we agree again on something!! Must be the New Year!! Also I say again I am not with the FOCRs and yes I agree that many of that board are indeed FOCRs.

I used to love walking in to St Colman's Park with family and friends when Dave Hill was there and what a great atmosphere we had at that time. How I wish we could have that back again too.

personally i think the crack is just as good if not better last year, as to when dave hill was about, id come early if i could and soak up a bit of atmosphere, though i dunno if it was, but there seemed to be more people went to ramblers game when dave hill was in the first division, than when hendo had us in the premiership, dunno if its thats its so long ago or what,

the atmophere is what you make it as far as im concerened

Don, I couldn't agree with you more. But ya know, I do think it so important that St Colman's Park becomes a cauldron that other teams fear if you know what I mean!!

We could be one of the strongest teams in the country. I just wish that all the wasted agro that goes on here could be channelled into positive support for the team.

After all, if we have a winning team then we have a huge following. If we get that then the bar gets supported too.

Bring on the new season and lets all aim for the top...

Has there been any word from the club yet on a new manager.
Could do with someone being appointed straight away to get a team together.:ball:

As Ive said before Id love to see someone local(manager),if this cant be fulfilled then a local coach or no.2 is vital. We seem to be losing all our best players and any of he current crop surely cant command anything more than 250e a week in the current climate so we need someone who really knows the talent of the Cork leagues

Billy Cronin.

My choice for the job since Hendo left but unfortunately it seems he hasn't applied.
He's also the manager of the MSL side so he would have access to some fantastic talent if he was to come down here.

Dave Hill and Alan O Sullivan.

Now that I have said that one of the others will get it!!

Whoever it is will need our 100% backing as he will be facing into one of the toughest periods of our clubs history so good luck to him and hopefully we can get a team that will do us proud and keep us in first division so that we can build a strong team and club once again
