And I was looking forward to him surging down the wing in the City colours next year......;)

Echoing all of the above - sad to see the career of such a promising player end so soon and so tragically for him being the week of the cup final. All the best for the future.

Tragic news indeed.

On the positive side, from the players own point of view, St. Pats chairman Andy O'Callagahan has said "St Patrick's Athletic will retain his services in a coaching and promotional capacity."
That's something at least I suppose.

The main thing is that he is fully recovered. He is a great player, and best of luck to the man, whatever he does in the future.
