The sidebar on that link claims he still plays for Fingal! :)
Any idea if we'll be putting out our first team?

For the LSL team in the FAI Cup?? I'm sure we wouldn't be allowed even if, for some reason, we wanted to.

I think my brain is elsewhere. I was thinking of the Tullamore league cup game.

Postal Utd. 1: 1 UCD
Nice evening for a game of ball and UCD had a great start when . It was a start by Postal as they littered the pitch with fouls. These fouls proved costly as Dwayne Wilson scored direct from a free-kick within the first ten minutes

Dwayne Wilson, second from left, scores dirct from a free-kick
and then the Postal right back was booked. UCD's continued to create chances with the Postal 'keeper saving from another Wilson free-kick. UCd had another shot over the bar before the Postal number 8 was forced to clear off his line from a dangerous cross.
Postal were looking to break forward themselves but their efforts were snuffed out by the UCD defence. UCD's Sean Geoghegan had a terrific shot blocked before Wilson put the loose ball over the bar.
Utd. came out in the second half looking for something and had three good chances in a row. UCD raised there came and continued too create chance culmanating in a lay-off by Wilson and a shot from Paul O'Connor that beat the 'keeper but not the post. Diminutive forward David 'Campo' Campion worked tirelesly (until he was substituted) and created some good chances of his own.
In the closing stages UCD still had the better of it but one last desparate attack by Postal had their hard-working number 14 fire a hopefully cross into the box and the ball deflected off the head of a UCD defender. UCD weren't finished and again another a terrific delivering from a Wilson corner and a late run and header by centre-back Jack Doyler produced a greta save from the Postal 'keeper. The resultant corner and again the 'keeper made a fine save to save low, before the ball was cleared by his defence.
Both sides will play each other in the Moore Cup Final scheduled for May 02 at the UCD Bowl. (time tbc.)
UCD: 1. Sean Coffey, 2. Brian O'Reilly, 3. John Burke, 4. Rory Keaveney (c), 5. Jack Doyle, 6. Sean Geoghegan (Brian Doherty), 7. Dwayne Wilson, 8. Gary O'Toole, 9. Niall Daly, 10. Paul O'Connor, 11. David Campion (Tim Schutz), 12. Daniel Lehane, 13. Phillip Burke, 14. Brian McQuinn, 15. Ronan Lynagh, 16. Conor McGroarty, 17. Brian Doherty, 18. Tim Schutz.

Does the Herald usually do reports on theses games? Quite handy if they do.

UCD 3:0 Tymon Celtic
UCD sun1B side finished off their league campaign with a 3-0 win over Tymon Celtic courtesy a Jack Doyle hat-trick. It confirms UCD in fourth place with 50 (FIFTY) points from their 26 games one point off Glenville, as other promotion rivals St.Pat's CY beat Garda away 3-2.
Three teams get promotion from the Division at the end of the season. (The close season may bring changes to that number, but it's not something to rely on.)
It was a very close, very competitive promotion race and a terrific season for UCD's first season at Intermediate level. The side have very good spirit about them and they worked hard to get an advantage in the matches I've seen them play. Last weekend the side lifted the Moore Cup and in two weeks UCD will take on Arklow Town in the second round of the FAI Cup.
Wish them all the best for that one.

UCD AFC Intermediates : Arklow Town.
UCD Bowl
Sunday 24 May 2009
14:00
Tough game for the students as the they take on a team two divisions ahead of them in the Leinster Senior League , Arklow Town FC Senior 1 Division versus Senior 1B.
Arklow have a huge reputation in both the leinster Senior league and the Wicklow League where they field both senior and a host of underage sides.
UCD will need to raise their game to make a compete with the highly fancied Arklow. The UCD players have competed exceptionally well right through the season to get this far and they have shown with their league form that they deserve this place in the FAI Cup.
