Without sounding like I am always slagging the bloke off (probably am but...) do any of ye not think that it is time for Cobh Ramblers to appoint a new manager. He's been in the job some 3-4 years now (guessing??) and has done absolutely nothing at all of note for the club apart from making ye one of the most undesirable, unpopular clubs in the division. He has instilled a 'siege mentality' into his players, and they seem far more pre-occupied with the attitude of "lets do them...they're all against us" instead of "lets kick their asses on the pitch". Hill has by far the worst disciplinary record of any player currently playing eircom league soccer, and yet ye all think he's some kind of hero. His behaviour towards away fans is cowardly and unprofessional to say the least, and his tactical nous is also very questionable.
All I'm saying is that for a club with decent-ish support and a few bob in the bank, that ye should be aiming high, not being pulled down by this guys own personal crusade to become even more hated than Osama Bin Laden.:ball:

1."done nothing" he has turned a club that WAS otherwise a joke and turned it into a some what of a footballing side.and at times ivè seen better games at colemans park than at turners cross.
2.that "seige mentality"you mention is what a manager, footballer calls having a bit of bite.(how many cork city(just as an example) players have been booked more than once this season).?.thats the way dolan has them playing.at least dave wants and encourages his players to get stuck in.
3.he is the best man for the job mate and belive me, if he does leave or get sacked there is your next cork city manager.....
Itll be a cold day in hell if he ever becomes City manager. His temperament sucks to the high heavens.
However, Hilly is doing a good job at Ramblers. The season before he took over i was at games there with 100 ppl there MAX, and they had finished either bottom or 2nd bottom for a few season on the trot.
Yes, he has given a siege mentality, but look at Alex Ferguson, Arsese wenger. They have done the same.
Ramblers will do well to keep him as i reckon he is building a very nice squad. Thing is, most of them seem to spend their whole time suspended. If they can sort their discipline, they will be a force for promotion next season
BTW Steven17, Ramblers fan now are we???
;) :p

Dave has been sent off a few times this season and all i can say is I have seen all of the times he has been sent off but the last 2 times against Kildare and Sligo were totally unjustified.
The ref against Sligo was the same ref who sent off Dave when we played Limerick last year and he made sure he sent Dave off,he is been victimised by the ref's.
Dave is very passionate about his football and does get carried away but he is a born winner and Ramblers need to make sure they keep him for next season.

next cork city manager...me arse!!!
Rockmount, maybe Kilkenny City, or more likely Sunnyside Boxing Club would be more in his range. This is a man that thinks it justified to run over to away support, verbally abuse them, then give them the finger. Oh...and actually threaten one!! Shining example...then again, he and Roddy Collins are good mates...aren't they?? And you think a 'real' football club are going to approach him??

I think The Rams will be lucky to keep Dave. He might feel it time to move on if the oppurtunity arises.
Last year we made the Play-offs which was incredible as we had to apply to stay in the league the year before.:)
Although, we haven't had much luck and the fall of the ball ( which includes some woeful referring decisions) we are a lot better off now than in the past.
He is building a team that will only get better in the future.
So I hope he stays for the sake of the club.

tho only reason that ye're not going to have to re-apply again this year is because of the abysmal sh*te thats below ye. Kilkenny, Monaghan and Athlone wouldn't win the Limerick junior league...I'm not kidding.
Get rid of Hill now...:D
