On a British football forum , the Irish fans on the British teams are getting a slagging for their support :D

In fairness there's loads of LoI supporters who post over there and not here, and they do give the plastic Irish supporters and awfully bad time :D

We should gate crash it! :D

We could sit in different parts of the stadium and call each other splitters and ourselves the rightful guardians of football in Ireland, a la Monty Python :D

Why the hell do people from Derry come to a Derry City game in full Glasgow Celtic kits? Do they have no sense of shame? It annoys me at the best of times to see people wearing Scottish football shirts but when the idiots in question descend upon the Brandywell ruining my view of the game because they didn't even know where the fcuk the Brandywell was and turn up 10 minutes late it enrages me no end. Not to mention the group of 'Celtic supporters,' again, from Derry who waved Irish flags and sang "Can we hear the Derry sing?" during a lull in the match. "Yes, unfortunately we can and they sound like a crowd of mindless f***wits who think a football match is something that happens in between a montage of goals over some dramatic music and Jamie Redknapp's braindead drivel."

Where the hell will they all be next Tuesday? Where were they last Friday against Sligo? And again, why oh why, did they come decked out in all their Celtic colours, dragging their kids behind them? If those kids got a chance to support Derry instead of being togged out in Celtic merchandise the moment they can walk, the league, the club and the city might be a better place. Each and every one of them is a walking embarrassment.

And as for the Irish flags around the ground- we don't need them. If you feel so insecure in your Irishness, go buy a Wolfe Tones CD, one of Pearce's poetry books, or, I don't know...support an Irish team!

I hope those who went for the first time had a good experience and decide to come back but I'm not holding my breath, and for once, I don't care. They wouldn't understand anyway.

I really needed to get that off my chest.
