Worrying stuff regarding our defence.. If Wilson and Coleman miss out, our backup includes Pearce and Ward who have not played first team footbal lthis season from what I can see online. Very odd about Westwood too - there must be something going on in the background we don't know about. Forde has not been the first choice for Millwall in League 1, and Westwood has being playing well enough.

We'll have to just go all-out attack and prevent them from reaching our half, I guess

I presume Richard Keogh will be centre back if Wilson doesn't make it. He's been playing well but this is exactly the situation we didn't want to be in against teams of high quality.

I thought that Whelan and mcclean were big enough losses for Germany but now that coleman, Wilson and clark are probably added to that list means it will be a long long night I fear.

I agree in terms of our prospects for this week but...

We'd have jumped at this scenario a month back. Hopefully Poland can do our job for us and we might be back to full strength for the playoffs, all going well against Estonia

A draw would be a miracle.

But I'm still worried with the form lewandowski is in what he could do to the likes of Keogh, with his big "i really shouldn't be here" eyes.

Lewandowski is in devastating form at present but the service he's getting is a big factor in that.

I'd have thought Clark was our best fit for him.

Ha ha I was `thinking pretty much the same!

We should have called Rory Donnelly up.

Rd hot form 2 goals in each of his last 2 games.

Stadium looks great in Poland. Dublin Airport is going to be very busy catering for both the rugby and football supporters.

Temperature will be just above freezing so we had best all wear our woolies.

That looks class alright. Which players are one booking away from missing the Poland game?

Rain not forecast so I doubt it.

So do we want Poland to beat Scotland, guaranteeing us a play-off spot but no chance of 2nd (assuming we don't beat Germany) or a Scotland win making the game in Warsaw a play-off for 2nd place? There will be some very strong teams in the play-offs but I suppose we have to hope for a Polish win as the chances of us winning in Poland are not great based on our past record - even Jack's team couldn't hold a 1-3 lead there.

Well seeing as the only teams ROI have beaten in qualifying are Gibralter and Georgia (just) I would say they are praying for a Poland win in Scotland.

Take a play-off all day. Just screw Scotland.

I'd take a Poland win in Scotland for sure under the circumstances. You'd never know our luck in a playoff. Any so called decent team that finish third are obviously in a bad enough place and I'd always fancy us against an overachieving, normally weak side. Plus, although I wouldn't be quite as blunt as Nigel, finishing ahead of Scotland would be something in itself!
