Spot on. I used to edit it quite regularly, but stopped due to ridiculous over moderation.

If I see something wrong I'll still change it but don't bother looking to fill gaps...

I just completely re-did the Gary Rogers page. I put in external links, put correct info into the infobox and wrote his biography.

An article I did was the featured article on wikipedia yesterday.

It was one I did on Manchester based Irish boxer called Michael Gomez - not a bad honour considering there are over 3 miliion articles on wikipedia.

Forgive me if I'm wrong or if this has been said before, but I'm almost sure this exact same fiasco happened a few years ago and it actually resulted in the Wikiproject Irish Football being created by Danny Invincible. Doesn't that outline that there should be Wikipedia articles on all notable Irish footballers, including those who have played in the LoI?

Things really took off today after I left that comment about a lack of understanding of the league of Ireland. I didn't think it'd have that much impact. My argument is that the League of Ireland is a fully professional league, regardless of wheter all the teams or players are full time professionals.

What I would urge is that everyone registers and account. We may not all have the same opinions and that his healthy but we need more Irish football fans registered.

We lost Stephen Roche by a mere 8-7. Incidentally it had been 7-1 so thanks to those who voted. New users are needed immediately though, we just lost our most valuable member

I think I'll leave it go, I'd only request for a reversal of the decision if sligobhoy67 was still operating on it.

I'll focus on improving the existing articles instead in the hope the AfDs will become a thing of the past.

If Wikipedia nerds want to go around looking to delete League of Ireland players, than let them, we should setup are own site to cover it, its the only way for it to be solved.
