So you're not a fan of any footballer?

I don't agree that Keane is dim at all, but even if he is, surely what he produces/has produced on the pitch is all that matters.

Because Gift Grub specialises in caricatures. The way you make a caricature is you take one memorable feature about someone (often a verbal tick, accent or laugh, as it's a radio show) and exaggerate it for effect. It's not some vast middle class conspiracy. But then, as a UCD fan, I would say that. :P

Ken Early was on Second Captains recently talking about the weird ways Keane could contort his body to finish. This goal is a great example of that.
Wow, that was an incredible goal form Keane, I was rather sceptical about your claim that Sukar's goal would be as good as even better but I have to say it probably is.

Extra ordinary to the two in the same game, both goal of the season contenders and a bit different from the type of goal we tend to get these days.

I think in the modern game Robbie would not be allowed to attempt that, he would be expected to recycle the ball.

Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

Here's one I've not seen before - the second minute of the 2000 Italian Super Cup between Inter and Lazio. Could have been his debut; can't confirm.

I'd never seen that either, didn't realise he had scored in a 'proper' match for them. He got booked as well.

    2000 Supercoppa Italia

Edit- nevermind that, he scored two more in proper matches also.

The goal against Chorzow is below, credited on screen to Cordoba (maybe that explains why he was so keen to claim his goal in Bari? )

Can't find the goal v Lecce anywhere.

50 Flags there... so that means he failed to score in 95 of his 145 caps. Pretty crap when you put it like that.

Ireland did not face Latvia in a Euro Qualifier in 2013, it was a friendly and I got that from the top of my head. How hard is it to check these things before you print them!

We also beat Gibraltar 7-0, not 3-0.

But let's not let semantics take away from what the graph shows.

I think we will have used up out subs, the keeper gets sent off, Robbie is carrying
a bit of an injury and not as mobile as he would like to be and puts himself in goal.

The penalty taker hits the post and it rebounds bouncing off robbie's head and out.

Only for everybody to criticise him for taking the credit for saving the ball from the Post itself.

Dunphy rounds on Keano for his despicable behaviour whilst lauding the post as the saviour of Irish football and decrying Martin O'Neill's decision not to start him.
