Every time I see an update on Dixon's thread, my first reaction is always; "Oh **** - his knee's gone again."
Anyway.......good to see he's making progress!

I always think that he's scored another goal.

Not injured don't worry. Or scored for that matter. Hopefully he'll get named in the squad for the Arsenal cup game, haven't heard anything, just speculating. We'll see

Probably not, Freddie Sears is back from his loan spell at Crystal Palace, so he'll go straight into the first team squad.
On the other hand, that will boost Sean Scannell's chances of a regular first team spot at Selhurst Park, swings and roundabouts, eh?

Wondered why he missed the Sol Campbell comeback tonight

Went to whufc.com and it looked ominous: 'Forward Terry Dixon is missing with a minor knee injury'...but phew....'should be back in full training later this week.'

No james mcCarthy, I know he is injured but it's not meant to be too serious, perhaps he is in the seniors?

Excellent news, that game is on in Tallaght Stadium, so I hope to make it

    <EDIT>

Crap, just realised it's on the same night as the Brazil game.

well McCarthy has started tonight for Wigan so his injury certainly was not serious. Good news then, looks like he is in the senior squad

Isn't it on the night after the Brazil game? Brazil is Tuesday 2nd and U-21s in Dublin on Wednesday 3rd.

Hope he makes a full recovery.

Garvan still U21. Amazing that people are writing him off already.

Me wonders if the U-21 match is on Sky?

according to the schedule - http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12942,00.html - Sky are showing Wales VS Sweden and Scotland VS Czech Republic that night
you'd hope someone like Setanta or TG4 would step in and show it?

Dixon didn't make West Ham reserves game today, so he may be a doubt for the u21 game. Of course if he pulls out with injury the c*** Givens will say "he doesn't want to play for his country."

Not a Givens fan, but has he ever accused a player of faking injury?

Nobody would have dared accuse Givens of faking an injury to avoid even the most mundane of international representative duty.

Givens was quite in order to question the circumstances around Stokes' possible awol and request a fax copy of doctors report that protocol requires should have been sent to him Just he can't seem to be able keep his mouth shut about "incidents" in front of the press.
