I've started a WikiProject for Irish football if anyone would like to participate. It's still in its early stages, but you're all are free to join and express any ideas you feel would help.
You'll find it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikiped...Irish_Football

Am looking for old Irish matches on VHS, PM me if you have some and I'll upload them here
Cheers.
You should include your username as a participant as I see that most of your contributions on the site are related to the international side.

Can someone help with this page, it says we need more info about the social impact, authorship, etc. of Joxer, and I don't know as I wasn't alive when it was released

I've written a bit more about the song based around my sketchy knowledge of the period (I would have been two-years-old at the time). Hopefully it's OK and will be enough to keep it on the site.
I mentioned this in a sticky above but would anyone be interested in putting a wetpaint site together? It's pretty much the same as a wiki but it's like an actual website.
Here's an example of one put together by people on a Celtic forum:
http://kerrydalestreet.com/
We could all the categories we want (Past results, Irish players abroad, a list of every Irish player previously capped, etc.). We could have the list of Irish players abroad and add a bio, statistics, etc.

Anyone with a bit of free time want to help me put a wetpaint site together? I've already started it by adding in all the Irish players abroad.
http://irishfootballdatabase.wetpaint.com
(Irish International Football Database was too long)
As you can see it's just a plain site atm so it looks rubbish, especially with if you haven't got google ads blocked (use Firefox!). Every premiership player has a seperate page for stats. Eventually there'll be a seperate page for every player which will look something like:
http://irishfootballdatabase.wetpain...e/Robbie+Keane
Once the site is complete and the foreign seasons begin the Current Season stats can be updated after every match.
Let me know how it can be improved, what can be added. The Career Stats goals/games looks crap tbh but I don't know how to make it look any better. Register to the site and you can edit the pages if you like. Feedback, feedback...
Good work eirebhoy. I unfortunately don't have the time to help at the moment.
If someone could even add the player pics it'd be great. 120x120 pixels. I'll do everything else.
Good thinking. That's the pics sorted for all the leagues bar the premiership. For some reason Football Manager doesn't have any pics of premiership players, crests, etc. At least in my directory anyway.
Cheers. png is fine. I just added the Stephen Elliott's pic from the FM database.
i'm pretty sure most of the ones that are with FM are copyrighted by PFA. i wouldnt use them on my own site, and you definitely shouldn't put them on wikipedia as its against their rules

So what's the best option? It'd be best to have all pics the same size. I've tried resizing and cropping but it'd take me forever. Anyway, the premiership one's I've downloaded should be fine.

While I was searching on Wikipedia for Worm's 'Irish Abroad' article (sorry Worm looks like you lost) I came across this one
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Jn..._football_team
The chapters on 'Post War', 'Improved Management' and 'Jack' look like they were transcribed from a telegram, sent by a Gabby Hayes character, tapping a railway line with a shovel.
