The Icelandic League is ranked 36th, the LOI is ranked 30th. Incidentally, the average attendance for the Icelandic league is around 1100, so using that as a very rough guide (And considering that the recession has magicked away any money that might have been in Iceland), the league should be considerably poorer in money terms as well.

ah so its not too long ago, thought it may have been a bit earlier, before he had a few starts. That means it might still be an option, i cant believe he thought of going on loan to iceland before ireland though, although he probably didnt even know what way the season ran here. I would hope there are some LOI teams making enquiries though.
