I put some money on Webster before the tournament, 9/1 was very tempting then and I was proved right

Out of curiosity here's a comparison of the averages form the quarter finals onwards:
    Quarters:
    PDC
    Manley - 31.42 v Shepard - 29.90
    Part - 31.60 v Wade - 30.49
    Taylor - 30.77 v Mardle - 30.73
    Painter - 29.17 v Lewis - 28.76

    BDO:
    Webster - 30.89 v Fitton - 31.06
    Thornton - 30.75 v Adams - 29.96
    Whitlock - 31.56 v Hankey - 28.91
    Woods - 31.07 v Waites - 30.10

    Semis
    PDC
    Painter - 30.65 v Part - 30.95
    Mardle - 30.79 v Shepherd - 29.59

    BDO
    Webster - 32.07 v Adams - 31.79
    Whitlock - 30.88 v Woods - 29.70

    Final
    PDC
    Part - 30.95 v Shepherd - 28.37

    BDO
    Webster - 30.69 v Whitlock - 31.31

28 180s in the BDO final (44 legs) against 15 in PDC (40 legs).

Highest average in each round in bold. Difference in standard? Little or nothing, more depth in PDC, but, it's people who never played darts, or have very little knowledge of the game that write off BDO as "pub darts". I appreciate not mush criticism has come from here but I've read plenty of it in other places.

Yes, they are smiliar this year, the PDC players did not perform to their best and that is a true statement. In the BDO/WDF, the players were near their limit which made a good tournament compard to previous ones.
