Karl Spain and a Derry City mug?

Did anyone else notice Karl Spain drinking out of a Derry City FC mug, throughout last nights episode of "The Panel"?

Yep thought it was unusual for a Limerick man.

I thought so too - but apparently the producer of the show is from Derry.

Limerick and Derry City are clubs with great mutual respect and since they couldn't get a Limerick mug (or is that what Karl was?) he obviously chose Derry.

No such thing unless he were to perhaps construct one with sticky back plastic and pva glue

Besides, there are far nearer clubs we can all flee to

Sure there isn't a club in Limerick for him to support.
Don't they have something on the Panal where people can send them in weird and unusual mugs? They have different mugs every week. I'm sure I saw a Daniel O'Donnell mug a few weeks back.

I was thinking more along the lines of Athlone, too many morons following Cork. Although your crowds have dropped off a lot since you stopped winning things...........

Waterford is just depressing (Yes, even more so then Limerick and Athlone)

    And Cobh smells funny

It's either Athlone or Ucd for me anyway.

but you can take prozac in the comfort of your own home, without any of the benefits (rain, cold, dire, dire football) that the eircom league first division brings.

    Who wants that?

Sorry, my knowledge of attending First Division games is limited to the pre-Premier League days. Too many wind-swept nights, in the winter rain, have erased much of the memories...
