A goal mid way throught the second half by John O'Neill of Wayside Celtic was the only goal of the game last night. Rep Of Ireland 1-0 Englan. England were not up to much in a game played in terrible conditions. Fair dues to St. Michael's pitch which stood up to everything the weather threw at it.
Rep of Ireland: Brendan O’Connell (College Corinthians), John Carroll (St Kevin’s Boys), Ken Hoey (Rockmount FC), Paul Breen (St Michael’s), James Walsh (St Michael’s) (Capt), Chris Barbour (Tolka Rovers), John O Neill (Wayside Celtic), Ray Whelahan (Tolka Rovers), Rory Beechinor (Rockmount FC), Ian Callaghan (Wayside Celtic), Declan O’Connell (Douglas Hall).
Subs: 12 Tony Doyle (Wayside Celtic), 13 David Gill (Wayside Celtic) 14 Eamon Lynch (Belgrove FC), 15 Paul McCabe (Crumlin Utd), 16 Derek Hearne (Waterford Crystal) (gk), 17. Mark O’Sullivan (Douglas Hall).
Lost 2-0 Against France last night.Ireland had player sent off after 65 mins.
The french goals came in the 70th and 93rd min. Sending off changed the game.

Read the Star yesterday and it seems that current Manager Gerry Smith is to be replaced as his contract is up next year. He has been in the job for 13 years now but hasn't had much success in regards to silverware.
There are a few names mentioned to replace him next year....Just wondering if any of you out there rate any local managers to take this job!!!!
