It's like what they used to say about the Germans.
Football is a game of 90 minutes and the DDSL usually win.
Although it could be the last time they do it.
sfai.ie was bang up to date last year, but it doesn't seem to be as good this time round.

Surprisingly www.fai.ie have coverage with results and fixtures. The SFAI website www.sfai.ie appears to post the results 24 hours later.Originally Posted by MervilleUnited

Cant find any updates tho on how the finals went. Dundalk were in the plate and have 6 Monaghan United players on the team so am anxious to see how they did. Aaron McCarey is the goalie with the Dundalk team and is the Mons Under 13 goalie....remember that name.....one hell of a talent.
Magicme, Is he a tall blond haired lad..looks at least 17!Originally Posted by Magicme
If so, I saw them play yesterday and he started outfield and ended in goals. He saved the peno to win their game V Wexford.
Yeah thats him...he is 6foot odd already....can play anywhere but is a superb goalie.
So they won!!! Yeeehaaa.
Oh and he had the maddest red hair bout 2 weeks ago but we slagged him so much he bleached it. Got a Grobblar type mischievious sense of humour, height, talent, the right temperment and lives for football and his club....I really hope he makes it coz have yet to see a young lad who deserves it more.
Oh and I am always trying to match make him and my sister (shes just turned 15)!
Magicme,
The finals are not on until today

It was a good week in Limerick, certainly enjoyed myself and the weather was absolutely cracking. DDSL won the tournament (surprise, surprise) and Mayo won many admirers for the ways the play, though they were slow starters this time around.
Never play leapfrog with a unicorn!!
Sounds Like a great week was had by all!
That said, (Without any hint of Jealousy ), maybe its unfair on the smaller leagues (Sligo Leitrim SL has maybe 1800 players registered in total from 11 to 18+, of which maybe 100 would be U13) to be put in to battle with the DDSL, who have a pick of maybe 10 times that. That said, maybe that what the shields are for! There should be at least 4 leagues in dublin, 2 in cork, it would give more players a chance to play in this great Competition, and would be a more level playing pitch
Just a thought!

Drop a line to Martin O'Hanlon, Hon Secretary of the SFAI with your suggestion. Having said that, I cannot see the DDSL, Brenfer League, South Dublin League or AIB Cork Schoolboys League accepting such a proposal. Only five leagues ever won the Kennedy Cup. They were DDSL, Brenfer League, Limerick and District Schoolboys League, AIB Cork Schoolboys League and Waterford and District Schoolboys League.Originally Posted by MervilleUnited
