Quote TuffPaddy.....If he continues with some good club performances then I'd have him back in. He's light years ahead of the likes of Barrett the bench warmer.

Totally agree with this statement. He is a much better player than Barrett.Keep him injury free and we are on to a really good player here.He is improving with every match.

    No pride

Reid is still crap, don't care how he plays near bottom of Premiership. Was good for ireland at some stage before but last year of appearances was useless & looked liked could care less. Suppose its what you get when take on internatuonal mercenaries.

Comon,What do you base this statement on? He is not a crap player and never was.He has been hindered by injuries which of course rendered his performance subjecting him to limited performances for club and country. He is coming back to full form now and he will prove you wrong.I won't even comment on the rest,we all have our own opinions on this one.

    Here fishy fishy...

So, c'mon Pete, what's your criteria for being an "internatuonal" mercenary? So, a foreign-born player with just one instead of the requisite two Irish parents is not enough to avoid being cast as such, then? I expect you also turn your back whenever Clinton scores.

I don't know how anyone can call a premiership player a mercenary for wanting to play international football, whether he even has links with the country or not.

I like him. I think he's even more potential in a more offensive Blackburn side. By all accounts their tactics at the minute are down to a lack of forwards. If next season they revert to a more traditional set up and give him more licencse to "push on" I think we'll see the better of him.

He was quoted recently how he likens himself to Steven Gerard (obviously noting the gap in class) but when you acknowledge their individual attributes he's not far wrong.....

If it wasn't for that bleeding Russia game though

As a manager on this forum, you're judgement is questionable, sir. That's rash at best, tripe at worst.

Agreed. The comparison to Gerrard is an obvious one IMO.

Did anyone see the Arsenal game??

He was the only one that started to get a good rating from Sky... For what that's worth.

I was thinking a more imminent role... As good as Kilbane has done in the middle recently he does blow (very) hot and cold. I'm not saying he should be dropped. But I am saying it'd be right to have someone with Kilbanes "legs" ready to step in.
