I don't think he has much to offer to a team aiming for a top half finish at this level any more. I suspect that a lazy hack somewhere is stirring.
Just wondering is there any truth in the rumour that Jason Purcell will be signing for LFC this season.I thought that once the deadline had passed then no more players could be signed.Or does the rule not apply if they sign from a junior club.Any info anyone........................

The ball is round and has many surprises.
It was mentioned yesterday in the junior football sction in the Star newspaper that Limerick FC were looking to sign him. I would be very surprised if this is true, before he left Limerick he was only a fringe player and while he has accomplished a lot in junior football I don't think he has anything to offer us that would make it worthwhile signing him
Limerick 37, its so shiny and new we dare not take the cover off.
fringe player? he was one of lims best players before injuries forced him to leave
I think the word "was" is the what the other guys are on about here lim......Originally Posted by lim abroad

Purcell was a handy player in his day but he's passed the wrong side of 30 now. I couldn't see him adding much, towards the end of his time with Limerick he looked a little off the pace anyway and I would be surprised if that's reversed with time.
Was he not reputed to have had some problems with Noel O'Connor anyway? Though it should be noted that Noel has proven adept at building bridges of late which is encouraging (in a general sense, not referring to J.Purcell specifically).
