Negatives
1. Taylor retained for too long.
2. Lack of consistency in large spells, especially at home (7 wins, 8 losses, 1 draw).
3. General goal haul quite poor.
4. Very bad attendances as season wore on.
5. Cup performances.
6. Probably losing Gaffney and several others.
7. No improvement generally on last year (down one position, one less point, same GD).
Two very similar seasons in the Premier Division - Limerick have rapidly become the atypical mid-table side, capable of getting a good result here and there against the top teams but all too near to the mire below them for large parts of the season. If the current squad could be retained I think the team would do better next year, but everything I've read or heard indicates that won't be the case, and there may by a struggle to get in decent replacements. Is this just what has to be endured while the MF and training ground plans are realised? Seems like there is such a negative vibe around the club in so many ways, probably due to the crowds and lack of purpose in last two months of season.
