    Double Standards?

Article in todays Sun with Pat Fenlon claiming that Bohs are being favoured by the FAI and that there's one law for them and one for everyone else.
    Quotes:

"Monday was about people making a decision forone club and not for both."

"The league has no interest in football."

"We played 8 games in Europe and we've played the same games as our rivals in the League, bu then they force us to play again."

Personally, I think Shels have always got the rub of the green from the league, but hows about a poll to liven up the debate?!

League which is in fact just all the clubs representatives together is a mess & reason these situations come about is cos they seem to just let the clubs arrange matches themselves.

I think "the league" does kinda favour big clubs over smaller ones. Is Limerick were arguing something aginst shel$ they wouldn't have a hope.

Is there a rule says clubs can't be forced to play games more than every 3 days? Shel$ are just moaners, surly the rule with respect their game was clear cut whihc is why game being played?

Every dog in the street knows that the league have a twinkle in their collective eyes for Rovers. Sure how else do you think we are still here?

Pat Fenlon is a dipstick if he feels that the rest of the league should roll over to keep the great "Shels" happy. If you can't win it with the most money and the best panel Pat consider retirement.

That was stupid and all his moaning about tiredness before the match probably only served to make the players feel more tired then they were. Tiredness is as much a mental thing as anything.

BOTH clubs had played the previous Friday and Shels had played an extra game a whole week before and they play each other again this Friday where's the advantage. What's the big deal, they're a professional club? When you have to play more you train a little less in an attempt to compensate. They had a tough schedule around the Deportivo 2nd leg but apart from up the road to Drogheda they haven't had to travel outside of Dublin for a league game in 6 weeks. Waterford Utd have not had a home game in about the same time, 5 away journeys including two trips to Derry and another to Drogheda. What can you do? That's the price of success and always has been. Cork had it ealrier this season and Longford at the end of last season. Would you prefer not to be in the position?

I don't mean to pick a row but how did you know which vote was his? Are these polls anonymous?

P.S. My vote is for Shels untill they pay the transfer fee due for Alan Cawley.

I'd think Schumi's was the first reply on the thread, so Eanna probably guessed that his was the first, maybe the only vote on the poll at the time.

Voted Shels-mainly because i hate Fenlon, Byrne, Heary, Rogers...the entire club basically. They do get preferential treatment, and i would also agree with the Dub bias. It exists for sure.

and when I saw that, there was only one vote for "other" at the time. The polls are anonymous- obviously some people will post what they've voted but otherwise there's no way of knowing.

Dublin referees involved in games with Dublin based teams...enough said.

More neutral based referees are required.

Could you imagine a Derry man taking charge of a $hels v Derry game !!!

WHy havent they changed the match on Friday, because they knew the match on monday could make or break the season. Match not played till after they had the titke then it wouldn't matter.

Why don't they postpone the match on Friday, because they of money
    It's only just begun...............

Stupid structure of the league at fault for most of it, followed by the stupid rule book.

Fenlon/Oily should learn to count before giving out. Regardless, I thought that was the whole point of going full time. Full time teams seem to be the worst for giving out about fixture pile ups when they should be best equipped to cope. Incidentally Mondays game was one of the games that was postponed for their euro run, so blue nose is basically talking shít.

My vote went to them favouring big clubs regardless of where they are from.
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.

In fairness the match tommorrow is live on RTE so they didn't have the option to switch it.

I agree with Macy, though. It is the full time clubs who give out the most about fixture arrangements.

Shels haven't much to give out about. Bohs have played Friday Monday and Friday the same as Shels. I think they're playing next Monday as well.

Better off having outstanding games played as early as possible in case weather causes more postponments later in the season.
    I'm what? I'm ants at a picnic?
