Thanks Fester. Harps used to do really well out of this draw but this year it has been a very, very tough sell. It's interesting to note how much the general perception of people has changed- a few years ago they'd throw you €20 without a second thought, now people consider it too much, especially somewhere like Donegal that is suffering even more than most economically.

I'm guessing all clubs are finding things similar- it's harder than ever to keep the show on the road. I was speaking to our commercial guys earlier in the year and he described it as being like a free therapy service, everyone he rang kept him on the phone saying how bad things were.

I'm actually surprised that more clubs have not hit serious difficulties this year because raising money just gets more and more difficult.

The draw had to be put back a week as not all tickets were brought back on time. It takes place this Friday night at the Athlone game instead. You can still enter if you have not done so already.
