    There Will Be Blood 10/10

Another brilliant performance from DDL. His character sounded alot like Sean Connery!
Cumann Peile Dún Dealgan - Champions 2015 (too many accolades to be typing)

just finnished the millenium trilogy, (the girl with the dragin tattoo, the girl who played with fire, and the girl who kicked the hornets nest), superb trilogy, based on the stieg larssons millenium trilogy books, i remeber the first one being in cinema last year, deffinately worth watching of you can get your hands on them, i dont think the second 2 films will be on DVD here for another bit,

Could have sworn seen this advertised, on tv(?), the other day . Uk release date 27 Aug

What was the literal translation of the third book? Something about castles in the sky?

also i heard there gonna be playing extended cuts in swedish tv this year, adding something like 60-90 minutes to the overall story

Saw Casino Royale the other day. Dont know what all the fuss was about, thought it was dire stuff. Might has well have Jackie Chan as the new bond with all the silly fighting in it, and some of the dialogue was Mave Binchy stuff. Still, though,Craig was decent as Bond

    agreed.

Didnt enjoy the girl with the dragon tattoo movie too much, loved the books. I hear Daniel Craig will be playing Kalle Blomqvist in the hollywood adaptation.

One flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest was on Film4 during the week. Reminded me once again that it's one of the best films ever made.

A literal translation of the third installment is 'The Air Castle that Exploded', some kind of swedish idiom - I have a vague recollection of a more poetic sounding translation, but can't find any evidence for this.

Didn't realise, until now, that the first title was not a direct translation either. Can't imagine 'Men Who Hate Women' topping many bestseller lists.

Great film. A friend of mine recommended that I read the book. He said he enjoyed it more than the film.

Caught the end of The Departed last night. Fantastic show. 8/10.

bond is not meant to be so serious, its just the director had a hard on for jason bourne, bond has always been fun to watch never taking itself serious, and has lasted 40 years, then daniel craig comes along and ruins it,

saw salt yesterday decent show, twists and turns through the film, liev scrieber was pretty decent too,

saw the expendables, i think one "reviewer" said if you like this you have the brain capacity of a 12 year old, oh well back to school with me,

The book is tremendous also, in a more subtle way, and makes greater statements about mental health and society than the film. I'd absolutely recommend it.

Was at the Scott Pilgrim VS The World premier on Monday. Edgar Wright, Michael Cera, Jason Schwartzman and Anna Kendrick (who is stunning in real life) introduced the film.
Takes a few liberties with the books, but one of the most enjoyable films I've seen in an age. Rock music, romance, comedy and comics books all blended together.
Go and see it when it comes out.

Watched Back to the Future parts 1 and 3 last week. The first is a classic and no matter what the gombeens like Clarkson say, the De Lorean was the coolest car of the 80's. Oddly the 3rd part was funnier than I remember (I saw it first in the cinema after winning freebie tickets from 2fm). The awful Oirish accents MJ and Lea were completely hammed up, while calling himself Clint Eastwood was just priceless. If anyone wants to get transported back to their childhoods (or enjoy movies with dialogue and acting) just spend a wet evening with these.

I just wasted an hour and a half of my life watching "Salt" with Angelina Jolie. Complete muck.
