The Brandywell certainly gets the prize for most disimproved pitch.

If we were having this conversation 5 or 10 years ago it would've been the equal of any, unfortunately now its a mess.

The pitch is in bad nick at the moment due to the amount of underage internationals played on it during the worst of the weather. We do not have the luxury of some clubs where since they don't own their ground have no weekly overheads. It costs us approx 80k a year to maintain the ground even if we don't open it for a match.

We have spent the guts of 10k on the pitch since the start of the season from what I have heard and it will be one of the best when the weather allows growth.

not true heard ye spent 0 on it since last year it was in bad state all winter and before the international games it turned to a quagmire during games was recently spiked and seeded which would cost about 2k

I don't know what went on last season as it was a disaster all over but as for being in a bad state all winter when Cobh played here for the last match of the season it was 100%

About 6k spent on main pitch over the last 4 weeks including man power, seed, fetiliser, verti draining materials and then we have the training area as well which is being done . It is due to be sanded again in the next few weeks as well

They are out fertilising it this week again as it can rest before the Dundalk game.

The 80k I mentioned is the total running costs of the ground
