Where is this Hamilton moment from:

Ode to a Stuttgart! by George Hamilton
Moran with the free kick....
Wright and Stevens together, Galvin putting in the cross,
Miskicked by Sansom, In goes Aldridge...
And HOU-G-H-TOOOOOON...............
1-0,1-0.........
And Ray Houghton has got the break through,
And Jack Charlton cannot believe it.
From the free kick from Kevin Moran,
Wright and Stevens got it all wrong two jumping for the same
ball, and thats what upset the English defense,
Galvin was good here too helping with the cross,
then Sansom miskicked completly,
and good play by Aldridge to knock to Houghton a superb header by the little Scot,
and its one nil and 5 minutes on the clock.
Dreamland for the Irish

This is rich coming from you, Conor.Originally posted by Conor74
In fairness, that day was only as good as the day the treacherous alcoholic dog walking thug was sent home in disgrace...
"Treacherous"...
Marked by betrayal of fidelity, confidence, or trust; perfidious. Not to be relied on; not dependable or trustworthy.
Marked by unforeseen hazards; dangerous or deceptive
All accurate descriptions of the FAI.
"Alcoholic".. possibly libelous, definitely the type of thing the Sun prints, and simply malicious gossip, as you do not know.
"Dog walking".. apparently a derogatory comment, which will come as news to blind people for one.
What about Gary Mackay?
I'd reckon Whelan's goal in 88 was my best moment.

Champions!
The 1-0 victory against Italy in world cup '90.
I was only a wee Fellah but it was F**king brilliant.
If olive oil comes from olives, where does baby oil come from?
I'll be the pedantic Northerner here and point out that I assume you mean '94
Unless you count Schillachi scoring to put us out of the tournament as the best

Have I done something comparable to Roy Keane's actions? I'm intrigued...

For me it's got to be Robbie's equalizer against the Germans in Ibaraki. I was there, with 5 mins to go it was sheer despair that we were gonna be undeservedly dumped out of the tournament. Then that goal, what a change in emotions... unbelievable!!
when glenn crowe played.nice one.
When Niall Quinn banged in his second against Israel in a friendly at Dalymount in 1987.
An incredible moment.

For the nation it was Houghton v England or Packie v Romania. Those moments put us on the map but I was young at the time.
So for me it has to be in stoppage time in Ibaraki on our way out of the World Cup after not deserving to lose to the Germans. A long ball up to Quinn he heads it down into Robbie's path and bang the World Cup is saved. Robbie somehow inches the ball past the monster that is Kahn. A nation goes crazy!!!
Was that the 5-0 where David Kelly scored a hatrick on his debut?Originally posted by NigeSausagepump
