FAI finally announce friendly in Denmark

The FAI have finally announced what we already knew, that we're playing Denmark in a friendly in August. What's interesting is that we're playing in a place called Aarhus and not Copenhagen. Time to get the map out.

I'm pretty sure Liam Miller and Michael Doyle played there on loan from Celtic, Morton Wieghorst (sp?) was the manager at the time.

You can fly there from Dublin but if you click on the dates it does not come up. You can fly to Biillund from London Stanstead also. Its the home of Lego. Its an hour and half from Arrhus.

I think one connection is more than enough on any trip.

Just booked flights from London to Aarhus for €109. We fly out on Tuesday the 21st and back on Thursday the 23rd. The only thing is that the flight leaves London at about 7:30am and doesn't get you back on Thursday until nearly half eleven that night so we'll have to stay in London on the Monday and Friday. The return flights from Dublin to London come to about €35.

August is rarely a good month for us. Bar the Finland result a few years ago we usually struggle.

Close, but wasn't it Marc Rieper?

Did you ever hear Wieghorst speak? 100% Glaswegian, stronger even than Jan Molby's scouse accent

You're joking right? There'll be hardly any away support, thankfully, and the Danes arent exactly world beaters at the moment.

For anybody who was in Finland in 02 probably same scenario.
