Ireland are very painful to watch. The standard at this level is really atrocious.
Don't know if any of you ice hockey fans have heard about this but the Ice Hockey World Championships Division III will be taking place from the 15th - 22nd of April in Dundalk. Competing will be Ireland, Mongolia, South Africa, Luxembourg, New Zealand and Armenia. There is an Olympic sized ice rink opening in Dundalk on Sunday that has been built for it. Should be some laugh. Ireland are currently ranked 44th out of 45 countries by the International Ice Hockey Federation.

Whatever about the quality, it's still international ice hockey in my town. Needless to say I never thought I'd see the day.
It should be a good promotion for Ice Hockey in Ireland. I'll certainly will make the trip up.
Whats the capacity of the new rink?
1,000 seater as far as I know.
Also, check out the crest of the Dundalk Ice Hockey Club. A wee bit familiar...
Dundalk Pirates. (DVD'S, CD's...)
