what a tournament our u19 international ladies had in slovakia last week! in the 1st phase of qualifying for the UEFA european championships, they bet slovakia 4-0, bulgaria 5-1 and... italy 1-0!! qualifying for the finals could be a real possiblity this year.

Well we'd be doing well if the Senior Women could take a leaf out of their book too. The Senior women for the record managed to hang on to their spot in the Elite European nations largely thanks to our friends the Scots, the Russians and the Germans hammering the Swiss.

THe U19's are invited as guests to the Cafe on thursday 19th (tomoro). Think it is on around 7 or 7.30, tue in. It is great to see the women's game get some exposure.

IIRC it's a show on RTE for teenagers really. And it's set in a cafe

CAfe was not great for the girls, they did not get any interview. Ridiculous really, not fair on bringing all the players in and then ignore them!!!! Yes good to get the publicity but at least acknowledge them.....
