We had a problem with our ticketing system on Friday night so we havn't an exact figure for the Rovers V Dundalk match. Passive is about right - 2000 would be a close guesstimate ( which includes about 300 Dalk fans ).

498 at Cobh Ramblers v Kilkenny, not great but a **** poor night weather wise, how I know the attendance is apparently the club have electronic counters installed on their turnstiles.
''and I for one welcome our new insect overlords''
Longford missed out on a big gate last night, I would estimate that well over a thousand travelled may be two, we were 2 miles outside Longford when we heard the game was PP, we were on the roadside & the line of cars from Sligo was relentless. Hopefully the same interest can be generated for the re-fixed game!
I reckon our Galway game was closer to 200 and defo our own attendance was up on last season. The 30 or so Galwagiens were great craic and a lovely noisy crowd.
Jayzuz some nice stuff goin on in Inchicore!! nice to hear though
498 wasnt bad i thought there was less. if we have a good start to the season that will pick up aswell.Originally Posted by Comic Book Guy
I agree, defo 3000+. And they were all treated to a cracker of a game with a great atmosphere.Originally Posted by Roo69

I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

i'd say 700-800 were defo travellin. 2000 is a wee bit over the top but it could easily have been over 1000Originally Posted by Roverstillidie

Good man rovers till your dead, cant win an argument so you resort to name calling
How did you arrive at that figure?Originally Posted by Stevo Da Gull
When Celtic came in 2000 the capacity including temporary seating at the training ground end was 6,000.
The only area now open is the Dartside seats and the bank behind the goal at the Bray Bowl end - half the ground - presumably a capacity of 3,000.
According to Roo 69' s posting about The Shed the seated area holds 1800. The seats weren't all filled, but there were people standing to compensate for it.
Even if you said there were 2,000 on the Dartside, there would have had to be 1,000 behind the goal, which would have left no space for the hundreds of Shels fans who moved to be behind the goal in the second half.

You've got a point, I was putting that figure down going by how much free space there was and did'nt consider enough how much the shed could hold. How many people can fit on the Dartside now? I know there is supposed to be 1800 seats but how many can fit in the standing space where seats used to be, taking into account that you can fit many more people in a standing area.Originally Posted by REVIP
