This inaugural category allows readers of Sligo Weekender to choose whom they think was the outstanding performer in 2005. Readers can vote for any of the 18 winners listed and will be able to cast their votes in forthcoming issues, starting next week (Tuesday, January 10). There is no limit on the amount of votes that can be cast by any one reader. The competitor that receives the greatest number of votes will win.

Very pleased to see lee marshall got the juinor player of the year!It was a joke he did,nt get the sligo leitrim player of the year last year!He was head and shoulder,s above everyone in that league last year.And they gave it to Gino o Boyle?apparently gino had a good season for the Sligo Leitrim U21.It was ment to be judged on the super league.
