They said the capacity was a reduced 8,000 for some reason but firstly I don't really see why, there weren't that many broken seats, and secondly every seat looked to be filled.

Surely the Jodi holds more than the Riverside

The Jodi holds less than you'd think, under 3,000 iirc. Riverside definitely holds more.

If i remember rightly the capacity of tolka is 10562 - i actually counted the seats a couple of years ago (i know, sad)
    Figures were something like
    Roadside: 2,000+
    Riverside: 5,000
    New stand: 1,800
    Ballyb: 1,600

I'll try to go in & count again tomorrow (because I've nothing better to do )

Attendance at the Glens game was really just over 8,000
    1900 road
    1300 glens
    3000 river
    1800 new

Last night there were 10,000+ there

Any other figures are just for the taxman

This source says that the new stand holds just under 900.

If you could that would be great, there's always been debate about the capacity of Tolka and what stand holds what.

Why has the Riverside been allowed to run into such disrepair? My chair had the back falling off it as did one in front of me and the seat next to me was missing. I thought they were going to fix this for yesterday? Did anyone notice that there was a sign saying something like seats not guaranteed at the turnstiles? I must say though the corner of the Riverside near the Ballybough has a good unblocked view of the pitch.

The new stand doesnt hold 1800!!! 900 sounds about right to me and there is usually about 1000 in it Id say for big games.

Jodi more then the Riverside What are you looking at? The riverside is nearly twice as big Id say.

Probably more if anything. Usually the stairs are covered with people on the Riverside side and you can have upto three people for a seat in parts of it.

There were empty seats in the top opposite corner though (presumably because the side of the stand blocks your view of part of the pitch).
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

I don't really think all this shíte about broken seats is very fair, yeah there's some broken seats but there was a hell of a lot more prior to last weekend when fans, including myself, gave up our own time to try to fix as many as possible, if you want to get into an arguement, who here and hold their hands up and say there are no broken seats at their home ground??? Didn't think so!

To be honest I have never been to any Irish League ground with as many broken seats as there were in the Ballybough end. Though after the riot at the Oval on April 23rd, there may be quite a few broken seats in the area Shels fans were in on July 13th. I'm never in there so I couldn't tell you. Never a coincidence is it that there is rarely a broken seat in a home end. Tells it's own story unfortunately.

There is a new stand behind the goal which holds 900 fans - But granted 2 sides of the ground are seatless.

Relax! I just asked why has it been allowed to fall into such disrepair? If that's the state of it after your help then I'd hate to have seen it before. I'm just wondering why such a decent ground has been let fall.
