Gary Dicker and Darren Quigley have been left out of the Ireland U-19 squad to travel to Serbia and Montenegro this week - UCD website. On the bright side, we'll have them for the Pat's game!

Wouldn't have thought so - I think these qualifiers were being mentioned when they were in the squad the first time. I think the qualifying date wouldn't change over the course of a campaign. Think it's just a fair few players are back.
I think the cut-off date is usually the 1st of January so I wouldn't think their elligibility has changed.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
On a slightly related topic, Quigley is in eleven-a-side's Team of the Week for this week...
Well deserved too, he's been excellent in the last few games.

Is there any question of them not being released by UCD?![]()
Don't know really.
The squad seems to be at very short notice - if it were at a longer notice (ten days, I think), we could have had the Pat's game called off, so us not releasing them wouldn't have been an issue. I don't think we've ever stood in the way of players playing for Ireland, so I would be surprised if we did it here.
Very surprised College didn't get a centre half in. Top of the league didn't score & their forwards were pretty much dominated.Originally Posted by pineapple stu

Delighted for Quigley, he had a very immense performance. Very solid and firm in his catching of crosses and some magnificant saves.
They've both done well for College this season to date, so way to go Dicker and Quigo![]()
Don't forget a forward being scouted by a soon-to-be-Premiership team!Originally Posted by Colie
