    John Toshack

This man get's on me wick and for me has too be the worst pundit around, don't even get me started especially when he's in the commentary box ,in fact I'd put him up there with the great Frank Stapleton
Anymore pundits that get on your nerves

tv3s habit of having totally biased commentators for their cL matches ie if its liverpool they will wheel out john aldridge and if it manchester united its kevin moran . both are as bad as eachother

Totally disagree here guys. John 'I brought him to Deportivo' Toshack is the only one who talk sence. Giles and Toshack are the best for me and the Dunpho a distant third, although the latter totally exagerates to make a point he is interesting to listen to, espesially when Bill has to retact his comments for him.

Someone that really annoys me is Houghton, I can never find the mute button quick enough.

Spot on. Ray's not so bad. Brady and Toshack are good because they have European experience.

In fairness Toshack has an in-depth knowledge of continental/spanish leagues, which comes in handy for CL commentary

i think when toshack keeps it simple and doesnt start blattering on about something he is alright to listen to . Defintely not as match commentator.

Giles in fairness is one of the best. He really understands the game. Liam Brady and Dunphy also know what they are on about most of the time.

The worst has to be ITV. I have nothing against woment but when it comes to football the blonde one doesnt know if she asks the right question half the time and shouldnt be on the telly. Ally Mc Coist (or whatever the Fúck his name is) starts his rant, gets on the video replay either showing something completly obvious or irrelevant. The rest of the ITV commentators I wont go into, they are all muck.

Mark Lawernson knows his stuff. I wish he went to RTE for a quality panel

I think Toshack is excellent, the most knowledgable of the TV pundits by a mile. The only problem is that his voice is really boring!

What do you expect from someone who was taught English in a dressing room dominated by Gary Neville.....

Toshack is great - informed, incisive - and very eager to cut down Packie Bonners stupidity at the drop of a hat. Brady is also a class act - but then he always was. Dunphy is hilarious - mainly due to his lack of knowledge - which can result in some serious comedy cause he is so convinced by his own assertions - still makes great tv and thats half the job

the worst of the worst are the likes of trevor steven and ray houghton - guys who play by the book and deliver bland rubbish tv - instant red cards on my remote contol i tells ya

just on Giles (he's good) but his tv work pales beside the stuff he does on radio when he gets to talk at length about his ideas on the game - i agree 100% with him btw - ie anyone who talks about diamonds and boll0x like that is talking through their hole

football is simple - only idiots complicate it
