Blues into FAI Cup Final
Waterford United advanced to the final of the FAI Cup with a 2-1 win over Derry City at a rain soaked Brandywell tonight. Waterford's Dan Connor was the surprise hero as he slotted home the winner.
A lively opening to the game saw both sides score inside the opening 15 minutes. Kevin Deery fired just over on seven minutes for the home side butjust as they did in the abandoned game recently, Waterford took an early lead.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
