Shane McEleney, the centre half or his brother Patrick?

People assume he is never goin to be a senior international because he is with Derry at this age when the liklihood is he will move back to the uK in augest and "suddenly" become a player everyone wants to play for Ireland and not the north. By the way can McGinty and Keane from Utd expect their Ireland careers to now be over because Mr doolin is unhappy that they are playing in an Fa youth cup final and not in qualifiers?
Can't see either of the McEleney brothers playing for the IFA. I don't think Shane ever played for the IFA, while Patrick switched after school boy level.

A few of those guys have played a bit of first team football, albeit at a lower level. Duffy would be the closest to first team football at the highest level, I'd say.

Also, it doesn't look like Duffy's injured because he is named in Everton's squad for the game against WBA.

I remember McCaffrey singling out McEleney for high praise for his exemplary attitude, but I don't know which McEleney as I didn't know there were two of them.

Got rumblings that the reason Duffy is not in the squad is due to a falling out with Doolin...

Doesn't help that both have been in squads under McCaffrey either.

Worrying if true, as with McEleney. Any idea what this might be about? Is there a certain type of petty individual incapable of man-managing youngsters in a competent and professional manner that the FAI look for when filling these under-age managerial positions? Might this impact on Duffy's relationship with Noel King and the under-21s? Hopefully not.

It's rather unfortunate. It will surely be to the detriment of the U19 team and it could possibly impact, unfairly, on Duffy's reputation within the Irish camp. I think the next U21 game is against Austria in Sligo some time over the summer, so hopefully we'll see Duffy in this squad, if not the senior squads.

Disappointing to see Brady pull out of squad even though he may be involved for utd against juventus this week. Great that he is progressing well for utd. I guess this might be a chance for him to give ferguson some food for thought for been involved in first team vacinty in pre season.

Burke from villa called in who has done well for villa this season. Hopefully we do well this week maybe a new star will emerge with brady gone

I just saw that myself. Why do Manchester United have a friendly with Juve tomorrow night and what sort of team are they going to put out for it?

one up at moment Hendrick with goal 65 mins gone. Would be great win and might teach me to be less critical of squad selections!

No-one reporting these games for us alas. UEFA has some kind of coverage though:

Still 1-0 with 15 minutes to go. I didn't realise Matt Doherty was still eligible for the U19s - makes his progress at Wolves all the more impressive.

Italy also beat Ukraine 1-0, putting them joint top (or just below us on alphabetical difference).
