Nah it was a game over in Tullamore. They having Man U v Celtic Legends on this year so expect Bertie and John Delaney lining out for the Man U Legends

Of all the Sunderland players not going to the World Cup, you pick one that might........therefore he will hardly be playing on July 13th

So whats the story with this game lads. Anybody know if Limerick players etc... are going to be involved in this. 50/50 about whether i'll go to this. Saw the Munster XI jersey today though and thought it was really nice.

This is at the bottom of the article. maybe to finance some of the above.

A mate of mine saw in one of the papers today that it will be mainly Limerick FC players and a few more scathered in the team from other teams, so i'll be definately going.

As far as I know there'll be 2 from Cobh Ramblers, 2 from Tralee Dynamos and the rest will be our own.
There were hoped to be 2 each from Cork and Waterford but they werent interested.

    Munster XI Squad:

    James Sugrue (Tralee Dynamos)
    Chris Kerins (Tralee Dynamos)
    Kevin McCarthy (Cobh Ramblers)
    Emmett O'Hanlon (Cobh Ramblers)
    Bobby Ryan (Galway Utd)
    Sean Kelly (Limerick FC)
    John Boyle (Limerick FC)
    Pat Purcell (Limerick FC)
    Gavin Roche (Limerick FC)
    Nigel Stanley (Limerick FC)
    Dave Rogers (Limerick FC)
    Timmy Kiely (Limerick FC)
    Daryl Kavanagh (Limerick FC)
    Garbhan Coughlan (Limerick FC)
    Jeffrey Judge (Limerick FC)
    Thomas Lyons (Limerick FC)
    David O'Leary (Limerick FC)
    Stephen O'Flynn (Limerick FC)
    Shane Clarke (Limerick FC)
    David McGrath (Limerick FC)

It says confirmed Munster XI squad so possibly a few more to be added. Also according to Niall Quinn, Bruce will be bringing over his A Squad with players like Bent, Richardson, Zenden, Gordon, Kenwyne Jones and Andy Reid as they consider it a proper friendly in their preperation for the season ahead.

I can see there being a decent crowd, but due to the size of the ground it is going to look like a very poor attendance. 7,000 or 8,000 maybe. I hope its more so people can see Limerick....sorry Munster, stuffing Sunderland 3 or 4 nil

2-1 Sunderland. Tierney scored. Poor crowd and poor game i'm told...

Munster played well in the first half, O'Flynn, Tierney and O'Leary really stood out. Tierney scored a lovely goal from outside the box. Second half both teams made a rake of subs and Sunderland took over from there and had a few chances. Scored one from open play and a free kick. Tracey was unlucky not to score a free soon after. Basically a good first half when Munster had a strong team out but went dead then after that when both teams made a load of subs. I'd say i wasn't too far off with my estimation of the crowd above. Stadium was way too big for this event.
