Might be heading down to it myself, one of the few grounds I have never been to! Would fancy us to get something from the game, although I'd like to see us start games better, as we can't keep going a goal or two down and expect to come back every week.

Come straight into Limerick up the Dublin Road until you see a Homebase. Turn left at the roundabout off Homebase. Follow this road past a big retail park with a Dunnes in the middle. At the roundabout after Dunnes take the second exit. Same at the next roundabout. Continue to next roundabout and take the third exit going right. Continue until you go over a hill after the Bus Eireann Depot and turn left before a bridge. Jackman Park is on your right.

When you get to the main roundabout at the end of the Dublin Road (before you get into town) get on the dual carr...motorway (for Cork) then come off at the next slip road (Waterford/Ballysimon), turn right at the top of the slip-road, straight acorss the next roundabout, left at the next roundabout , straight through the next roundabout, then right at the next (you will then pass Garda station on your right hand side) continue along til you go over a railway bridge, take a left at the lights just after this bridge and Jackman Park is on your right just before the next set of lights along this street.

    limerick 2 longford 0

really poor first half limerick were dire they had 2 good chances never took them longford came into the game and should of prob scored 3 or 4 goals in the first 45 alone some very poor defending pat purcell cant come back quick enough.
big improvment second half well taken goal by tierney and a pen scored by tracey.
there are about 4 or 5 players on the team that are way out of there dept no 8 very poor player
IMO midtable again maybe 1 or 2 places higher but nowhere near good enough to get promoted

last weeks attn was 818 this weeks was 425 and i thought that was bloody brilliant as the weather tonight was unreal. With only 262 seats in the stand i thought that was going to be it. Great atmosphere in the stand and a real welcomming one to any fans. We were crap in the first half and if Longford had finished any of their first half chances we were in big trouble but when Tierney took his they collapsed and the pen followed.

Yeah ,agree with last 2 posters, first half performance was woeful and against better teams ie Waterford the game would be dead by half time. We're creating lots of chances but finishing again is poor.2nd half was much improved and they tackled well and used possesion better.Tierney took his goal really well and the pen was a dead cert.Thought Robbie gave longford loads of trouble with his pace. At least we have 3 points cause i really thought we were in deep s**t at half time last night.Crowd was decent as it was an awful night.

Surprised that so many turned out in what was a awful night, could have been 3 up or 3 down at half time. Huge question mark over some of the players last night during that first half, fair enough the conditions were poor and your not going to get a good game but half of them couldnt get into the changing rooms quick enough.

2nd half have much better in fairness but how the defence just switched off (not the first time either) after we got the first is a cause of concern.

Another fine display from JT, lack of effort is not something that can be aimed at John.

About the defence we have to remember 3 of the 4 playing there last night are midfielders.

Pretty sure Kelly played most of last season in defence for Galway. Hughes and Boyle though should not be fullbacks. Its not there positions and while they are trying, they are being made look poor in those positions.

Great turn out considering the weather. Thought we survived the 1st half but could have been burried by half time if Longford were any good up front. Our fullbacks were obviously not fullbacks as mentioned above and we will be mauled putting out a back four like that all season. Would like to see Jason start in midfield. Not too familiar with the whole squad...do we have any better full back options? (I know Deady didn't play...but he is not on the field for his defensive qualities anyway, although I think he's improving as a defender over last year). Maybe when Purcell is back can one of the current CBs move out to full?

Tierney had a great game and our front 6 really got on top in the second half. That's 2 home games in a row we've dominated the opposition in the second half, results from a strong offseason I would think. We still haven't created much yet though, goals from a penalty and a route 1 ball last night...don't remember us opening them up too much but the conditions were terrible in fairness and that will all come as we get a few more games in.

A win in Ballybofey could make for a bumper crowd v Cork on Good Friday.

different formation, players playing out of position and still early in the season so the performances are going to be up and down.both sides had chances first half, could have easily been 3-3 at half time.much improved in the 2nd half, the goals of course helped that.id like to see limerick get a midfielder who can pass the ball and keep the play flowing.john lester would be alot more use playing with limerick.
a clean sheet though with a patched up defence is a huge bonus
