Ive got a 64mb Disgo stick (e45, Compustore) and have no probs with it (dispite it being dropped a few times and constantly being thrown in my pocket along with my phone & keys). I know that they have larger size ones too. You only need software for Windows 98, its plug & play for everything else.

I have a 16mb one that came free with the laptop. Its been all over the shop, had various liquids spilled on it, played a few games of football with it in my pocket. Its lived through that. Only problem is that it doesnt work with NT! at least not the verison I have at college and at work here. NT4 I think.
    Oh no not them again

    Cheers all.

Dunno what this mac thing you metnion is buit seems most are reliable. €45 seems very steep for 64MB but suppose thats rip off oirland, easily get 128MB on the web for that & almost 256MB.

Well if you want to get it in the Apple Store in Cork, just off the quays its €80! Ouch. Anyway, Im a technophobe with regards to buying things off the net, except with Ryan Air

My friend has a 128mb one by canyon and aint complaining (he thinks that its compatable with everything but isnt sure).

Id fully recomend mine (Disgo) anyway.

there's an article in this months PC format where they test several, mainly by hitting them with golf clubs, boiling them, running over them in cars, putting them into washing machines and getting rats to eat them (seriously).

they're surprisingly durable little buggers, i think that only 2 out of 6 failed to pass all the tests.
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

Here are two options for you.
    256MB
    or
    128MB
    Reliable product, reliable Internet retailer.

Yeah Komplett usually good although we had long delays at work getting stuff delivered after "something" went wrong during delivery. Then again might have been internal ordering "process" too.

You wouldn't believe the trouble I had getting something delivered from Panasonic UK. They're a global leader in electronics and couldn't manage a simple delivery to Ireland.
Six months after the original order I ended up with 2 of what I ordered and a total refund on my credit card.
    No complaints about Komplett though.

After a few months someone here ordered another unit of the missing part & when that arrived just cancelled the old missing one

All time best were Gateway who won't come top me to collect the originally delivered incorrect spec PC (had subsequently sent correct version) so I ended up with free PC. Course tis now bust which is a surprise given their quality rep.
