Yeah it will be back, it might be at a later time though im not sure.
Tell me has anyone heard if Monday Night Soccer is going to be back? In my opinion it was one of the highlights of last season!

Was it not part of their deal with the FAI for international rights that they'd show a LOI highlights package during prime time specifically, though?
I don't know. Thats why i said i'm not sure. Guess we'll find out soon.
I'm nearly sure it was, unless someone knows differently?
I remember it being in news articles around the time the deal was agreed.
There was an advertising hoarding at the Ireland game that had MNS Monday's 8PM on it I'm almost certain.
It had been rumoured that it would be changed to a later time.
Tallaght Stadium Regular
Well there's a difference between later during prime time or later as in 1am, like tv3's rubbish eL Weekly effort. If they're contracted to prime time then they can't go after about 10pm start time.
i dont know what rte is worried about they are funded by our taxes and they will bloody well give us one hour a week to cover our national football league. people should expect it and accept nothing less.
It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up.
Muhammad Ali
Its on at 8pm for next season.
We are the Galway Boys Stand up and make some noise"
Sadly, many many more people in this nation are interested in the results from cross-channel than from the LOI. It is easy to justify it that way.
From what I remember, this was discussed in a previous thread, and there has been discussion ofa possible decision to move it to a later time (maybe around 11pm?). It hadn't made the numbers hoped for a primetime slot and there was an argument that moving it to a later slot would possibly help to increase ratings, given that programs on the other channel(s) wouldn't be primetime viewing material either.
EDIT - Just saw the post above mine showing it hasn't been moved.
It is supposed to be moved to a later time, haven't heard anything to suggest they've changed their mind so will have to wait and see.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

I always thought 8 o'clock was a tad bit early for this show. I would prefer a 9:30 time slot, plus I can see no reason why the show couldn't be repeated later in the week at a late time like midnight and on one morning at 7:00am. On the plus side I really like the fact that the shows were available on the internet.
Aon, dó, trí, bhí mé i mo luí, thit mé den leaba, he! he! he!
That's absolutely ridiculious.
I loved M.N.S. last year, had one or two reservations about it, but I liked the show. Now I know that this is only a discussion forum, and in a sense it's pointless to get angry, because nothing will happen, but in my oppinion, if this is the case, we might as well have kept Eircom League Weekly, because it's the same situation, no matter how good or bad the show is, it's still probably going to be aired at 11.30. A time where most people will be thinking of going to bed.
Just let me get this straight. In the past we had E.L.W, which I'm sure went to the wall because of the stupid time they had it on, hense
the low viewing numbers. M.N.S. was at a PRIME TIME, which means, you don't need to keep Draculas' hours to see it, and now there telling us that
those numbers are down, and that they actually think that the numbers are going to IMPROVE going back to the 11.30/midnight slot.
Good luck to ye lads. Well I can GUARNTEE I won't be watching it.
1) They never mentioned anything a bout 11.30/12 slot
2) No of course they wouldnt expect it to increase numbers. But shows are given their time slots based on how many people watch them. Better viewing figures you get a better time slot. If the viewing figures are very low they wont want to waste a prime time slot on it.
