    Fair enough

    What are those minor concerns?
    A transient, horrible, fantastic dream,
Wherein is nothing yet all things do seem:
From which we're wakened by a friendly nudge
Of our bedfellow Death, and cry: "O fudge!"

I'm sure Tom Coughlan is telling supporters at the CCOSC Fans Forum as I write.
You'll find out tomorrow no doubt.

Acording to the Irish Times this morning:

Though Cork City secured a Premier Division licence, they still have arrangements regarding outstanding payments to players and former manager Alan Mathews to fulfil before the start of the season. ................

“Cork have until February 27th in terms of their financial accounts.

There is not way that should be part of licencing. That is a legal dispute & not simple a case of failing to pay wages. If say City wanted to solve via legal route there is little chance could complete in time.

Well the idea behind it is that clubs won't have any "footballing debts" so things like outstanding transfer fees are included as well as wages

Fair enough, but the point being as of now we dont owe Mathews anything because of sacking him. He can go to court to say we unfairly broke his contract, we'l disagree and itl be a judge that decides what is owed to who.

Hope this goes Matthews way as he had a contract and it should have been honored all this malarkey about contracts under arkaga aren't viable is a load of bull.Still cant see why Tom Coughlan sacked Matthews for Doolin

proposed ones for this year he said he was very sceptical and with the accusation in the Herald yesterday of under the table cash payments to circumvent the licencin process it looks like some clubs havent learned any lessons from last seasons debacle. You cant base your budget on hoped for success because our last 3 premier winners have all faced meltdown despite their success.

Irrelevant. Id expect any city fan to hope the court sides with us and we dont have to pay out that money.

I wouldnt have a problem with keeping the league together but if their budgets are unrealistic make them cut them or relegate them .Then licencing would be seen to work and not the absolute joke its held up to be.
