Decided to go out to this today. Didn't realise they play on the astro pitch out there now. Judge scored the first two and Jay McCartney got the 3rd. Foy played up front for the last 20mins or so. Gorman was back in action for us too. Richard Brush had a good game in goals and Stephen O'Donnell was playing in defence for Harps.
I don't follow the U-21 league much so don't know how good/bad either team are doing but Harps were very poor, Rovers did well and deserved the win.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

The game was played on the astroturf pitch adjacent to the Showgrounds, much to the disappointment of the Harps contingent who have argued that the Yeats County men shouldn't be allowed play on the artificial turf.
Harps requested, prior to the match, that the game not be played on the Astroturf pitch, but under instruction from Under 21 league officials, they had to fulfil the fixture.
They argue that the artificial pitch at the Showgrounds isn't up to the necessary standard, like Oriel Park in Dundalk.
It is believed that other teams who have played on the surface are also unhappy and it is expected to be the subject of debate among under 21 officials in the coming weeks
cant beat a bit of controversy
